An Egyptian investigation currently being conducted by the Supreme State Security Prosecution in Egypt indicates that a Jamal network operative named Tarek Taha Abu Al-Azm was responsible for directing the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya. The most disturbing revelation about Al-Azm is that he received training in the United States by the taxpayer funded U.S. Air Force. According to reports published in the Egyptian Al-Watan newspaper Al-Azm was a former major in the Egyptian armed forces who traveled to the U.S. for military training after graduating from the Egyptian military academy as a member of the Egyptian Armed Forces Officers. Former PLO and Muslim Brotherhood member Walid Shoebat, now a self professed peace activist, is credited with discovering and translating the Egyptian reports. To simplify Al-Azm’s role as ringleader of the Benghazi attack Shoebat draws comparison to the leader of the 9/11/01 attacks on the World Trade Center: -
To illustrate this relationship, Al-Azm would be akin to Mohamed Atta, the cell ringleader on 9/11/01

Numerous Middle East sources have documented that Al-Azm received fighter jet training in the U.S. Air Force. One such source, the Al Bayan Media Foundation, corroborated the Egyptian probe reports, stating that excerpts from a 2013 police report after Al-Azm’s terror cell in Nasr City was broken up stated “Al-Azm stated that he was an air force pilot and was sent to America by the Egyptian Air Force to get military training.” Notes from the police interrogation also quoted Al-Azm as saying: “America tried to impress us but I was not impressed. They have administrative capacity only and do not understand things. They are easy to know.” According to reports from Egyptian investigators, terrorist Muhammad Jamal Abdo Al-Kashif is the recognized head of the Jamal network – the terror cell regarded in the West as the group responsible for the Benghazi attack – but it was actually Al-Azm who took the lead tactical role, overseeing the operation from beginning to end. In fact, the Supreme State Security prosecutor in Egypt says that Al-Kashif was simply the “second defendant” and the one who sent the message to Ayman Zawahiri, the current leader of al-Qaeda who succeeded Osama bin Laden, that the U.S. compound at Benghazi had been attacked. Al-Kashif and Al-Azm were both imprisoned in Egypt but were released by Mohamed Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood/Sharia Law based government soon after Egypt’s former President Hosni Mubarak was removed from power in February of 2011. Had Mubarak not been ousted by what’s since been referred to as the Arab Spring uprisings, which drew much support from U.S. President Barack Obama who officially recognized the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt prior to their victorious election to power there, it’s highly unlikely the attack on Bengahzi and the subsequent deaths would have ever occurred. The video below shows Al-Azm and Al-Kashif celebrating after being released from prison following Morsi’s rise to power.

A standard google search indicates there is no mainstream media coverage of this very disturbing revelation but a few patriot network blogs and news sites such as WND and Patriots Heart Network are reporting.
