Well, isn't this an interesting development?

Testimony from victims now strongly suggests it was the rebels, not the Syrian  government, that used Sarin Nerve Gas during a recent incident in the revolution-wracked nation, a senior UN diplomat said Monday.

Carla del Ponte, a member of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, told Swiss TV there were “strong, concrete  suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof,” that rebels seeking to oust  Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had used  the nerve agent.

But she said her panel had not yet seen any evidence of Syrian government forces using chemical weapons (CW), according to the BBC, she added that more investigation was needed.

Damascus is facing growing Western accusations that its forces used  such weapons, which US President Obama has described as crossing a Red Line. But Ms. del Ponte’s remarks may serve to shift  the focus of international concern.

Ms. del Ponte, who in Y 1999 was  appointed to head the UN was crimes tribunals for Yugoslavia and Rwanda, has sometimes been a controversial figure. She was removed from her Rwanda post by the UN Security Council in Y 2003, but she continued as the Chief prosecutor for the Yugoslav tribunal until  Y 2008.

Rebel Free Syrian Army spokesman Louay Almokdad denied that rebels had use chemical weapons (CW).

Indeed.  It'll be swept under the carpet, however, in Obama's march to war.  After all, Ms. del Ponte is already a "controversial figure," which is code for someone who is to be ignored, and suppressed if possible.

What is the rush? We played games with Saddam from 1990 until 2003.

Good point.  My guess is the rush is mainly for domestic political concerns, not with Syria or the use of chemical weapons.

What is the rush?

The rush is that Barack needs to get another Islamist government in place ASAP, because people are completely against intervening.  I think this entire "gassing" episode is a hoax at best, and AQ 'rebels' gassing civilians with Obama's approval at worst.
Trump has created a cult and looks more and more like Hitler every day.

REPORT: Obama Is Considering A Limited Two-Day Strike On Syrian Military Targets

President Obama is considering a strike on Syrian military targets involving sea-launched cruise missiles or possibly long-range bombers that would last no more than two days, according to senior administration officials and reported by Karen DeYoung and Anne Gearan of The Washington Post.

The limited strike would seemingly be a response to allegations that the Syrian government used chemical weapons on its own people before dawn on August 21. Hundreds were killed and thousands suffered "neurotoxic symptoms."

Yep.   Another distraction from his failing domestic agenda.  Stir things up so the focus is off the economy, "affordable" health care, NSA, and so on.

That's regularly what other regimes do to keep the heat off themselves, why not us now that we've demanded, and gotten, a government like all the others in the world?

There is absolutely no reason for us to do this.  1) there is NO ONE to take over in Syria and 2) if we are going in because of the chemical weapons... then WHY did the administration say "we will not take out the chemical weapons when we attack them this week."  Does anyone believe that we are going to lob bombs into Syria and Iran or their buddy Little Kim are going to sit back and take it???    Even General Scales on Greta earlier said this is CRAZY!!!!

Oh and BTW new poll.. 9% of the people who voted for Obama support this action.

Also it is believed the people pulling the strings for this attack is the Saudi who has become our puppet master.
