The Obama media is in control. For a lid to be blown off of anything, the Obama media would have to be forced into covering what was said.

Won't happen. Obama is too precious to them.

Silly.  Do you think Rush, Hannity, Levin, Fox news, WSJ, Krauthammer, Steyn, Coulter, Malkin, and IowaHawk will drop this story?  More often than not these people drive the news.

You're not seeing what I'm seeing. And why do most of your replies have to have some sort of dismissive comment to the original poster?

As to your comment, if those people were driving the news, there would be more talk of Fast and Furious, Benghazi, and IRS targeting. NSA snooping took off because it irritated younger liberals. But even NSA snooping is dying down as a story. The average person gets their news from the evening news. Younger consumers still use affiliated outlets. Liberals have painted Fox News as being so toxic that Fox could report water contains oxygen and liberals would dismiss it as false because it was on Fox. I can't tell you the number of times I've said something to have a Democrat/liberal challenge.. "Where did you hear that, Fox News?!" So, that invalidates most of the sources you cite. The average American has no clue what Iowahawk is. The conservative point of view remains a bit of an echo chamber, much of which I blame on the GOP for being unable to unify and press their position in a coherent manner.

The liberal media controls the "conversation".

For about half the population, if Jon Stewart and the entertainment infrastructure don't pick up a story, it never happened.  The liberal news media services such, as CNN and MSNBC (as well as the networks), serve the elite, informed liberals to let them know how to spin events.  But as far as most liberal voters are concerned, there is no reason to put down the joint and pay attention to anything.  Jon Stewart is doing the heavy lifting for them, and they figure he'll let them know if anything important, like an election, comes up.

Disagree.  The mainstream media dismisses many of those named as "shrill" and "fringe".  Unless and until the MSM becomes invested in the story, these folks alone cannot push the boulder uphill.  And the media is not just protecting the President but also the "next" President.

I truly believe Benghazi is a blockbuster scandal if fully exposed... weeks from a general election, Obama's absence, Hillary's involvement...
For the progressive, there is very little to love about the United States. Washington, Jefferson, Madison? A bunch of rotten slaveholders, hypocrites, and cowards even when their hearts were in the right places. The Declaration of Independence? A manifesto for the propertied classes. The Constitution? An artifact of sexism and white supremacy. The sacrifices in the great wars of the 20th century? Feeding the poor and the disenfranchised into the meat-grinder of imperialism. The gifts of Carnegie, Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, Morgan, Astor? Blood money from self-aggrandizing robber barons. Nat Rev

I'm sorry.  When I wrote "silly" I was only referring to your original comment that I quoted, and not you personally.  I was just being lazy in my communication, and I can see why that is unclear.  Further I chose the my word poorly.  I should have said "wrong." or even better "IMO you're wrong."

Thank you for pointing that out.

Thanks also for clarifying your definition of the "Obama media" and why you think this story has no legs.

Of all the scandals, I believe Benghazi is the most serious, and the most infuriating. There is enough information available to indicate the Commander-in-Chief was at best negligent. A full investigation may reveal some very ugly things. But even if what we know is all that there is to the situation, it's troubling, and indicates we have a Commander-in-Chief with misplaced priorities, and a startling level of incompetence.

Used to be I believed the occupant of our White House is an incompetent boob.  Shortly after, I came to understand he is hell-bent on destroying the country as founded along with his compliant worker bees.  Add to that zero opposition (esp the republians).  The only vestige of opposition may lie with the military (active or former) who take seriously the oath to protect and preserve the Constitution *as written*.  Without them, we will shortly become nothing but slaves to a bunch of boobs whose hunger for power can never be satisfied.  Forget about the 10th Amendment; nobody in DC gives a crap.

Even if the mainstream media report on this, the question is what Congress will do about it.

Nothing. Zero.  Nada.  Neither the media nor any opposition that remains in DC gives a sh*t.   They are all in for gobbling up as much power as they can throw at the taxpayers.  The sooner we understand that politics/elections are done for, the sooner we can deploy our energies elsewhere.
