Prominent Gay Rights Activist Killed in Cameroon
« on: July 16, 2013, 08:48:09 PM »
A prominent gay rights activist in Cameroon was tortured and killed just weeks after issuing a public warning about the threat posed by "anti-gay thugs," Human Rights Watch said.

Friends discovered the body of Eric Ohena Lembembe at his home in the capital, Yaounde, on Monday evening after he was unreachable for two days, the rights group said in a statement Tuesday.

Given that his death is a tragedy and the manner of his killing was reprehensible. But what really caught my eye was that this story comes for Drudge where it was immediately followed by this picture:

Since the very next story is about recent profits earned by Goldman Sachs, I am kinda wondering if Matt is trying to tell us something.

We shall never be abandoned by Heaven while we act worthy of its aid ~~ Samuel Adams

Photo placement and the wording of certain headlines on Drudge's site usually send a hidden message, as Kevin DuJan noted at his site, HillBuzz^-^
“Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual – or at least that he ought not so to do; but rather he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.” Samuel Adams, April 16, 1781.
