I should also note that Montreal isn't the only major Canadian city with corruption issues... Rob Ford, the mayor of Toronto, was forced to resign not too long ago.

We certainly have seen it here, too, that good people can be destroyed by false charges. But if Applebaum did as a councilman improperly intervene in or benefit from the real estate projects, he should go. (Same with Harry Reid!)

in canada, they remove crooked public officials. in the us, they re elect them
