The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey recently made an interesting admission in Senate testimony. Dempsey claimed that there were U.S. Special Forces only hours away from Benghazi as our ambassador Stevens withstood seven hours of siege at our Libyan facility where he was eventually killed.

General Dempsey made his statement on June 12 in a Senate hearing about the attacks on September 11, 2012, when the attack that killed ambassador Stevens and three Americans that were there to protect him occurred.

Dempsey told the Senate that command of the Special Forces–known as C-110, or the EUCOM CIF–was transferred from the European command to United States Africa Command (AFRICOM).
Why was this sudden transfer of command made?

Worse, Obama has claimed that there wasn’t enough time to send American troops to ambassador Stevens’ support. But if these troops were only hours away, it would seem quite logical that the ambassador could have been rescued–or at least an attempt be made.

Obama’s conduct over Benghazi and its subsequent coverup is so bad that at least one Congressman thinks Obama could be impeached over it.

But in April a Fox News report contradicted Obama’s claim with an unnamed source. Now it seems that Dempsey has legitimized the Fox report.

A recent wnd.com report noted that things aren’t quite what Obama has claimed.

“I know for a fact that C-110, the EUCOM CIF, was doing a training exercise in … not in the region of North Africa, but in Europe,” the unnamed source told Fox News’ Adam Housley. “And they had the ability to act and to respond.”

The source told Fox that U.S. forces were only 925 miles away and could have easily made it to Benghazi in time.

“We had the ability to load out, get on birds and fly there, at a minimum stage,” the source told Fox. “C-110 had the ability to be there, in my opinion, in a matter of about four hours … four to six hours.”

Dempsey finally admitted that the source was right.

So, why did the Obama administration lie? Why did Hillary lie?

Earlier in May a whistleblower said that Obama could have prevented the attack.

Why didn’t he?
