There's so much duplication of effort. How many foundations claim to be raising money for the exact same cause, e.g., breast cancer research, granting wishes to sick children, blahblahblah? Is that really necessary (ignoring, for the moment, the fact that so many of them essentially are frauds, as this list shows)?

Yesterday on Fox Shep Smith had a report from Geri Willis about the money raised by the Connecticut United Way for Sandy Hook victims.  They raised $40 million dollars!  Problem is United Way has not disbursed the money - even though it was earmarked by the donors for the victims they are using it for "research into violence" and other nonsense..... like Willis said how difficult would it have been to take the number of victims and divide it into the $40 million and write a freaking check!  and now they are saying of the $40 million the most that will go to the victims is $7 million - they are keeping what they did not use on their research project in case they need it for the future..........

Con-artists seeking to raise money by choosing a familiar name to another charity... and unions. About what I expected.
