On Monday, Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA) of the House Appropriations Subcommittee grilled acting IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel and inspector general J. Russell George on who had given the orders resulting in IRS profiling of conservative non-profit applicants.
J. Russell George stated that the inspector general’s office had in fact asked IRS employees, but said that no one had actually answered the question. Graves asked Werfel whether he was satisfied with that. Werfel said no, then added, “We have to get to the bottom of that….We will uncover every fact.”
