Eric Holder's Long History Of Lying To Congress

Quote
Scandal: Before he lied to Congress while under oath about what he knew about targeting reporters, he lied about Fast and Furious. As early as the New Black Panthers case, Eric Holder had a problem with the truth.

That the House Judiciary Committee is investigating whether Attorney General Eric Holder lied under oath during his May 15 testimony on Department of Justice (DOJ) surveillance of reporters comes as no surprise. People have forgotten about the New Black Panther case, perhaps the most clear-cut case of voter suppression and intimidation ever. On Election Day 2008, New Black Panther Party members in military garb were videotaped intimidating voters outside a Philadelphia polling place.

The slam-dunk prosecution of these thugs was dropped by Holder's Justice Department. When asked why, Holder, on March 1, 2011, testified before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies that the "decisions made in the New Black Panther Party case were made by career attorneys in the department."

Holder lied

Along with no transparency, this is the most unethical administration ever. Most of them belong behind bars, but I doubt any of them will get prison time.

Holder's record of perfidy goes back even further than the Black Panthers. Not only was he directly involved in the Mark Rich pardon but remember the seizure of Elian Gonzalez (04/2000)?

Side 2 gives us the Federal Government in general, the INS specifically, and how this is all overseen by the Justice Department and Janet Reno [Eric Holder, in the case of who ordered the actual action].

In 2008 Judge Napolitano quizzed Holder about his role in the Gonzalez affair (emphasis throughout in original):

Napolitano: Tell me, Mr. Holder, why did you not get a court order authorizing you to go in and get the boy?

Holder: Because we didn’t need a court order. INS can do this on its own.

Napolitano: You know that a court order would have given you the cloak of respectability to have seized the boy.

Holder: We didn’t need an order.

Napolitano: Then why did you ask the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals for such an order if you didn’t need one?

Holder: [Silence]

Napolitano: The fact is, for the first time in history you have taken a child from his residence at gunpoint to enforce your custody position, even though you did not have an order authorizing it.

Napolitano: When is the last time a boy, a child, was taken at the point of a gun without an order of a judge. Unprecedented in American history."

Holder: "He was not taken at the point of a gun."

Napolitano: "We have a photograph showing he was taken at the point of a gun." [infamous photo of Elian's seizure at link]

Holder: "They were armed agents who went in there who acted very sensitively..."

Holder is a Leftist hack willing to use the power of the state to perform any act in the service of Leftist's ideology and goals. He should never been approved as AG and given that amount of power.
