I thought....how satisfying it would be to picture him waking up to find a thoroughbred's head in this bed.

....then I realize he probably wouldn't even notice it.

I am wondering if the guy that leaked this from the FCC did.

Studies show that a MARKED parked police cruiser will affect traffic speed.

Camel/tent.

The media will stand by and accept this, because they know that the real scrutiny will be reserved for right leaning outlets.

I don't think it will happen again in my lifetime, but if a conservative is somehow elected to the presidency, the tears from the left leaning media over this and all the other abuses they've allowed to be put in place, will be delicious.

The MSM would never let a conservative be if they even remotely tried some of the things the one has done.  Look how they treated GWB.

And this isn't just a squirrel running around in the backyard....this is very serious.

So......where is the outrage by seated GOP leadership?  I don't see them complaining anywhere.

I know some of our members disagree, but I think the GOP leadership is as anxious as the progressives to shut up conservative news. Like Beck said on his program this afternoon, this would chill his own staff meetings because a lot of the people who give them info want to remain unknown and if the government was sitting in on his staff meetings none of their informants would give them the information they currently receive.. and he said a lot of media will not say a word because this voluntary isn't so voluntary - what is means is you say no - they say okay and then your FCC license isn't renewed next time.

Come on......they're Americans 1st.....they're Republicans 2nd....and they're not going to put up with having the federal government watching over your shoulder how you report and how your meetings are conducted.

Anybody that can fog a mirror can see that their goal is to intimidate and silence....one way or another....opposing POVs.

And if they do....it's past time to lock and load.

I disagree. They are self interested above all. Being a Republican is a path to improving their circumstances, so they are Republican far and away above being American.

Great question.  I hope they're not as dizzy as I am from all this crap.

I guess the media can keep their news the way they want it, sort of like keeping your own insurance if you like it.  My big question is has Obama read about this in the papers yet?

I really wonder at times just where their loyalties lie.  Seems most, both sides of the isle, are politicians first, then party, then Americans.  A very sad state of affairs.

And if they do....it's past time to lock and load.

My boss called and asked if I have watched when they passed the health care fiasco and what my thoughts were.  Told him I had and since I didn't have my wife to take care of anymore, my children were both grown and gone, and the government had basically destroyed the construction industry, there wasn't much else to do but start another revolution.
Had dead silence on the other end of the phone for a bit.  It's past time.

Americans by birth but not necessarily by loyalty.

Americans by birth but not necessarily by loyalty.

I wonder if they would actually claim it if they weren't in front of an audience?

I'll bet they are more like muslims who claim no loyalty to a homeland, only the religion they worship, and the only religion these politicians worship is power.

I think they are afraid of Obama and are backed into a corner. I think they are moderate liberals that use PC and are afraid of being called old white racists but I don't think they want conservative media shut-down. That is going too far. If so, like you said we will be there with pitchforks.

Article title:
[[ FCC: No intent to muzzle press ]]

Why would the [Obama-controlled] FCC want to "muzzle" the press?

The "mainstream press", by and large, is leftist, pro-Obama, pro-socialism. Not a whole lotta diversity spewing from the media megaphone.

Nope. That ain't what this was supposed to be about.
But if not that, what?

The goal was to put into place a structure of monitoring -- and intimidation -- to ensure that the press could never again swing back into the "mainstream".

The ship of "the press" is already moored on the left side of the river.
This was about putting an anchor around it so that it could never again break free.

Edit:
Perhaps the Obammunists are trying to erect a Potemkin-style framework.

That is to say, although monitors would be placed in ALL news agencies, the vast majority of them (in the leftist media outlets) would be only "for show".

They would provide cover for the monitors in the -conservative- news organizations, who would be there to crack the whip and apply the full pressure of the left...

When you add what Howard Stern had to say about the Democrats on the FCC Commission being Communists...it makes me want to scream WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS??

You mean the right wing of the political elite? They have no interest in stemming the power of the political class.

This has nothing to do with political class.

This has to do with free market principles and honoring 3 branches of government or Totalitarian Communism.

I can't believe I even had to type that f**king sentence....speaking about the USA in which I grew up.

It has everything to do with political class. If the right wing of the political elite disagreed, they'd be screaming.

Naw....seems they glean their POVs (and hopefully their spines) after a couple of days sticking fingers in the air...reading columns, listening to Rush, etc..

And yeah...don't laugh, Rush has tens of millions of loyal listeners daily.   Even the MSM hangs on his every word.

The backlash is coming....in fact, they've already nixed the idea....for now.   :patriot:
