And once again boys and girls, this is why we need Conservatives in power.  Stop feeding the destroyer.

The same solutions prevail. The way you do it is ground up, grassroots... Start taking it back. It's a long and bitter thing, not fixed by shiny shit or political messiahs, with no rest for the weary. Eternal Vigilance. Always. Little corrections along the way are much easier than sweeping changes. But when the chips are down, and sweeping change is what you need, it is still one vote at a time, from the bottom up.

You should know. Look at your own state. a decade ago it was purple.

Hope remains.

I miss Eternal Vigilance too.... Man he could make some Rinos mad.

Plenty of Republicans do, but they don't have the votes.  It's as simple as that.

No! They don't! There are a few to be sure but most are too beholden to the Chamber of Commerce.

I saw comments on Twitter about his being a conservative,  but he described  himself as communist.  Better description  would be mad as a hatter.

Were we really?? A majority means nothing if they vote along with the minority.....

I don't get this at all.  So you're against allying with Democrats on voting issues?

The people who voted to get rid of McCarthy were a tiny minority of Republicans who conspired with the overwhelming majority of Democrats.  But those are the people you support!

On this foreign aid bill, a majority of Republicans on the committee voted for the rule, and a majority of Republicans in the House overall voted for the amendment on the floor.  But the Speaker somehow is wrong for being aligned with a clear majority of his own party??

Why are their opinions discounted just because they were joined by some Democrats?  Do you know who joined much of the Freedom Caucus in opposing that Amendment?  The Progressive Caucus!  The entire "Squad" voted against it, so those are your political allies.

This is the kind of hyper partisanship @jmyrlefuller was talking about elsewhere.  Judging legislation not it's actual merits, but on who is for or against it.  Which seems rather like a chicken/egg problem as far as I'm concerned.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been exonerated by a Department of Justice review that found investigators did not intend to target traditional Catholics as potential "racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists."

The Justice Department Inspector General review noted, however, that analysts "incorrectly conflated" an investigative subject's religious views with his alleged domestic terrorism activities.

<sarc> What a relief.  We have no need to be concerned about
the FBI conducting a witch hunt to purge America of religious "extremists."

Except for the repeated, ongoing statements by "President" Biden and his surrogates
about "right wing extremism" being America's number one security risk.

Never mind the numerous rioters in places like Portland Oregon
that the "Democratic" Party's financial backers are funding
(providing transportation and lodging.)
They're not a "security risk."

And never mind the thugs who keep on committing
numerous, repeated robberies, beatings, etc.
that the Democrat prosecutors keep putting back on the street
after being arrested MANY times!

And never mind the gang bangers, who commit 80% of the murders in America.
They're just an "oppressed minority."

We need to beware of the over 100 million peaceful conservatives
who The Regime claims are guilty by association
with the tiny number of actual "right wing extremists" (skinheads, etc.)
(with whom conservatives have no association)
who commit only 0.25% of the murders in America anyway. </sarc>

Plenty of Republicans do, but they don't have the votes.  It's as simple as that.

Because RINOs are better than Democrats... Let that sink in.

The truth of the matter is that no one in either party wants the border secured.

Plenty of Republicans do, but they don't have the votes.  It's as simple as that.
