Senate Republicans rolled out a slimmed-down stimulus plan on Tuesday.
It includes a $300 federal unemployment benefit through December, $257 billion in small-business aid, and no additional assistance for cash-strapped states.
It leaves out a second round of $1,200 stimulus checks, which helped people make ends meet at the peak of the lockdown in April and May.
Democrats are likely to block the bill, which they attacked as "emaciated."

I'm still waiting to get our darned tax refund!! Mailed it before July deadline...rec'd receipt that they got it. What the heck? I looked on the IRS website -- refunds may be delayed -- do not contact their office for status. I was hoping to use it to pay our property taxes. :shrug:

The Dims are going to use this as a campaign issue and say vote for us and you will get your stimulus check...vote for the heartless GOP and you will get nothing...doesn't seem to me like it takes an Einstein to figure out who they will vote for... :shrug:

Of course they will use this as a campaign issue; however most conservatives don't want to add even more to the trillions in debt.
Many liberal morons will vote for the DEMS regardless -- they are clueless as to their socialist/marxist agenda.
I went to a neighborhood park that I hadn't been to in awhile today -- half a dozen or so Biden/Harris signs. There are a couple on my street as well. I was surprised, this used to be very heavy GOP territory. Times are changing.

Open tha dam country and need no stimulus checks required. Small business will have to pay them back like the recent no payroll taxes. All come do for payback Jan1, 2021. wink777
