The Austin bomber has been shot dead as police FBI agents were trying to arrest him, it has been reported.
The man detonated a device before gunfire rang out along Interstate Highway 35 in the early hours of Wednesday, according to KVUE.
The FBI and police tracked the bomber to the Round Rock area using cell phone technology, security video, store receipts before 'engaging him' around 3am on Wednesday, the station reports.

I just woke up and saw blew up too. I had a post up earlier this evening saying he reminded me of Mark Hoffman, but I couldn't say why. I deleted it five minutes later because I didn't want to get in trouble from @mystery-ak or her mods.
Anyway, Texas can rest easy now. I hope the reason for all this has nt died with the suspect.

I 'knew' with the tech out there today, they were going to catch this guy very quickly.
No way did that 24 year-old blew himself up.
If they have the technology to shut off cell phone service/electric service in a specified radius...they sure as hell have it to trigger a timed, IED wrapped in his back seat.

24 years old? That is prime Antifa age for starters to those offended at the supposition that a Marxist terror group might have been responsible in some manner for the bombings. And while we all hope this nut job acted alone I recall the Alphabets discussing the 'sophistication' of the devices. Whether or not he had help or that this was a group effort has yet to be seen. Unless this is a group effort - we may never know the motive outside of this guy trying to become another Unabomber.
The media narrative that this guy was 'targeting' people of color is beyond incendiary.

So, he had a sister; I can't imagine what families go through.
Even at our bank, a woman who works there with an uncommon name for the most part, well, in a nearby town, a male with that same last name killed someone drunk driving. I thought, there could easily be a familial relationship, relatives or something. It wouldn't be easy to live with but something as this bomber did is of the utmost deviousness.

Since I have one of those blogs, or did, I rarely use it anymore, that looks fairly valid to me. One reads it and it looks like it was for a class, maybe at that community college and I look at the "classmates"; it almost looks like this was a class project because the titles for the "classmates" blog seem to be of the same kind of milquetoast quality. He may have been a kind of conservative (as he calls himself) but he himself seems to hold it out a little to question. He's sure not a dyed-in-the-wool conservative type.

It could hint at least it wasn't used until today. It didn't have any activity that was tracked. Someone took an old unused blogger account, updated the profile with a new bio and quickly added politically charged blog posts with old dates.
Not saying this is the actual case, but stuff like this happens often when these events take place.
It just seems odd and is far too convenient.
(It could also be totally legitimate and just coincidence that it was never archived through all these years until today.)

It's not uncommon to hear about "bombings", not like mass shootings but they do happen ever so often and usually do not kill people, there might be minor damage.
This guy or these guys, did make some potent explosives that killed people. One can talk all they want to about making pipebombs, what they did in the field testing explosives but I don't know when was the last time, I heard about homemade bombs killing people in the US. Maybe not that long ago but I don't remember. These bombs were potent.

A family member who is a graphic artist who builds websites on the side, is putting together a website for me for my books. That should be up in a week or so. I have a Facebook page, but never use it. I hate Facebook pages. The page is cut up in a crazy way, difficult to get info. from it.

Since I have one of those blogs, or did, I rarely use it anymore, that looks fairly valid to me. One reads it and it looks like it was for a class, maybe at that community college and I look at the "classmates"; it almost looks like this was a class project because the titles for the "classmates" blog seem to be of the same kind of milquetoast quality. He may have been a kind of conservative (as he calls himself) but he himself seems to hold it out a little to question. He's sure not a dyed-in-the-wool conservative type.
I thought on my blog, if I edit a post, it does go on to show that I did.

So far, everything is just speculation. It is almost impossible to wipe someone off the internet. The silence around the guy tells me that there is no "there" in the narrative. If he was an inconvenient optic, they will issue a more convenient optic(conservative) and then the whole story will disappear.

Also, within minutes of most of these incidents, trolls make fake accounts like mad, so unless there is a paper trail (so to speak) be very diligent in what you trust. We have no clue, for example, that bong shirt guy is him or from a fake account that was pulled.

23 for me began at the place where I graduated college. A summer of great fun. My girlfriend, who lived away, made me move to my hometown after the summer of fun ended. I found out she had another boyfriend. I lived with my parents during that year, finally getting to know them. Then I moved in with a friend for another summer of fun.
Point is that 23 is a year of many changes sometimes.

My father's young life was a Grapes of Wrath story chapter by chapter traveling from the dust bowl of Arkansas to Califorinia with the family dog riding on the running board of the Model A the entire way. I saw pictures and read the memoirs written by my aunt. They were not tall tales.

One problem with that theory, of him being focused on the explosion, not the aftermath. The nails he placed inside the bombs. He wanted dead and maimed casualties, as many as he could get. No, he was very focused on killing and terrorising people.

Perhaps but it points out a similar characteristic of almost all these mass killings; the lack of any real motivation for them that we can see. My suspicion is there is something lurking behind the scenes. Maybe it is some place where these people hang out and plan their crimes, receiving encouragement from the group. It would explain why they all destroy their hard drives.
But the idea of young people killing mass amounts of people, including themselves, for not real reason is very scary.

I said and others, Jared Loughner, James Holmes, Adam Lanza, okay, the Florida nightclub shooter was about 29; but that's not much older and are we saying then, being younger than 23, even in the teens is a disqualifyer now? If you look at the fifties you had Charles Starkweather and a number of other serial killers/mass murderers.
The Evelyn Hartley kidnapping was a national sensation and happened just blocks from my home. I was three years old at the time and didn't find out about it until I was almost ten. Most likely her kidnapper murdered her shortly after taking her. He very possibly could have driven past our basement home making his escape.
Edgar Smith was a cause celebre for many people including William F. Buckley Jr. who championed his innocence. Let out of prison, he promptly assaulted a young girl and admitted he was guilty all along about his first violent offense.
The sixties had Smith and Hickok who slaughtered the Clutter family, Richard Speck, Charles Manson, and the Whitman guy who gunned down all the people in UTexas.
What makes them go off, like the Las Vegas shooter Paddock, is still a mystery in many cases.
I hold no brief for the modern, rotten culture foisted on us by leftists and amoral greedheads.
But we've always had the psychopathic killers.

I totally agree with this and had never thought of this, my father grew up in Owatonna at that time, then, on top of this, later, served in the South Pacific in World War II, in the Navy. I don't want to overuse the word but again, there is little wonder in why they use the term "greatest generation". Wisconsin/Minnesota must have been hit hard in the GD; there was a bit of a dust bowl-type migration to California as well, I understand.

Having attended church all my life, I had heard the message by the time I was a teen - at the very least - that God created me and that He loves me. This is true in Texas - there is no designation for "Party" on a voter registration.
The reason is, when you vote in a primary election, if you vote in the Republican Party primary election, you are designated a Republican on the voter list for two years, until the next primary. Same is true for the Democrat Party primary election.

There is no political benefit to a Democrat in this scenario so there is no point keeping the narrative going. It's a lose-lose. As I said before, the lack of motive is extremely disturbing. You don't blow yourself up for no reason whatsoever.

I was wondering if the parents homeschooled to “protect†this man as a child because they knew something was wrong. He could have received therapies, counseling, etc. in even a private school setting. My son is on the high functioning end of the spectrum and he receives PT, OT, ST, special ed services, and an aid at our private Catholic school. Our local homeschool coop has contacted me about getting children diagnosed with learning disorders, but they refuse to follow through when I tell them they have to see a psychologist for that. I respect their desire to avoid psychologists; however, not getting the proper help for a child who will unnecessarily struggle through his/her life is abusive. Just my $.02.

I agree with you totally about the value of homeschooling for some special needs kids, with the proper support. Public schools are often so overwhelmed that they really fail at providing services. You are great parents for getting your son the services he needs! I admire you all; I know that's not an easy path.

Fox News interview: Representative McCaul of Texas says one of the room mates is currently being questioned, so one room mate is NOT out of the woods on this, McCaul called him a "person of interest" at this point.
Also, McCaul watched the "confession", the bomber was likely on his way to a McDonalds where he was going to likely going to try to be a suicide bomber, so thankfully, he was stopped in time.
