‘Protester’ pummels senior citizen trying to protect Columbus statue before tables turn: ‘Now, you want the cops!?’
June 25, 2020 | Samantha Chang | Print Article

A Latino “protester” broke a loudspeaker over the head of a senior citizen during a scuffle over the removal of a Christopher Columbus statue in Wooster Square Park in New Haven, Connecticut.

Police intervened to deescalate the situation after “protesters” clashed with members of the Italian-American Heritage Foundation, who were protesting the removal of the statue.

The Columbus statue has stood in Wooster Square Park for 125 years — including during the eight-year presidency of Barack Obama — when Black Lives Matter apparently didn’t find it offensive.

So was the 'Latino' arrested and charged with a hate crime? Elder abuse? No wait of course not because the elderly victim was considered a White and therefore he must, by current Bolshevik rules and standards  from the Ministry of Social Engineering and Reassignment of Wealth and Status, be guilty of aggression and destruction of personal property by ramming his head into the bullshit Horn of the peaceful protester.

@GtHawk

I see you have a complete understanding of the current system in place.

The payback that results from this is going to be a truly terrible thing to experience,or even watch.

The white man has always been a minority in the world,yet he ended up running it all at one time.

This didn't happen because he is a swell dancer,as I suspect some people are soon to learn.

There are dozens up dozens of examples like this popping up, whrere common folk are fed up with this bs, and are fighting back.

It's just a matter of time before one of these skirmishes turns deadly.

@catfish1957

Yup,and that time started drawing closer today when the Italians tried to rumble with the His and Her Panics in NY that tried to tear down the Columbus statue,and one of their "brave warriors" in his 20's hit a old man over the head with his megaphone,and the crowd went after him as he ran away and cowered behind policemen.

That may end up being the spark that gets normal Americans fighting back. People see that and other events like it on youtube and texts sent to them by friends,and the media no longer controls the "discussion". They see other  people fighting back,and then realize they can fight back,too.

What type of police force do we have when they witness an obvious assault and do not immediately take down the perp and arrest him?

The police are begging citizens to become armed to protect themselves.

Blood will be flowing.

And if I was the one being attacked, my .40 would have ended this monster pretty fast.

@IsailedawayfromFR

The same type we have always had,civil service employees who followers the orders of the people that pay their salaries,overtime,and health and retirement benefits.

Think back to the 1960 film "The Time Machine".
... and how George the time traveler taught the Elois to fight back by his example...

We have liberal city police is what we have that tend to show where their alliance is (and it is not law and order).

Just in case there's anyone left who hasn't yet arrived at this conclusion: all of this insanity is going to end very, very badly.

And not necessarily for the lunatics.

The Left is extremely well-organized, richly-funded, and has its own army: hundreds of thousands of paid activists to agitate for "change". By which they mean "revolution", but you've probably figured that out, too.

The Left controls our news media, all of our social institutions, and utterly dominates one of the nation's two major political parties.

Traditional-minded Americans and conservatives, on the other hand have none of these advantages, zero, zilch, nada.

We are disorganized, unfunded and unlike the Left's professional army of agitators, we have to work at real jobs for a living and cannot simply interrupt our lives to protest on a daily basis.

Conservatives do not have their own political party, either. The GOP is a party of establishment careerists and country clubs, although they do sometimes claim to have some principles. But, as Groucho Marx once said... "Gentlemen: those are my principles. And if you don't like them... we'll, I've got others..."

We do have some powerful voices on radio and on alternative media sources, all of which the Left's Media Machine is constantly seeking to demonize, marginalize, demonetize, or silence.

The only other things we have are... guns. Lots of them, in fact.

Let us stipulate that no sane person among us wants a shooting war. The first Civil War was horrific enough . But when the only tool you have is a hammer, all problems do begin to resemble nails.

I await ideas for a brighter future ahead, but this morning at least: I'm just not seeing it.

A few thoughts (amazing that I have any at all) come right to mind:

First, Winston Churchill:
"If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed, if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case: you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."
(we've passed the point where option #1 is still possible)

Secondly, this guy:
(https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51H3yKnDa+L._SX331_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg)
(he certainly cleaned out the cesspool of the left and gave his country a decent future for decades ahead)

Finally, a "peaceful solution" seems to no longer be on the table.
If traditional-minded Americans aren't willing to fight, they're gonna get this:
2019: USA -- United States of America
2027: USSA -- United Socialist States of America
2035: USSSA -- United Soviet Socialist States of America
2042:  ?????

I wish I could be more optimistic.
I long for your "brighter future ahead".
But... I call 'em as I see 'em.
And that's how I see it.

Can't argue with a word of that. Wish I could,but I can't.

I will only add the left had better be careful,lest they get what they wish for. This is not the world it used to be. Royalty can no longer climb aboard a yacht and sail away from retribution or wait it out until the smoke clears.

You can run,but you can NOT hide.

I spotted that too.  Is this an example of the usage of the word "gaff" that involves an accidental telling of the truth?  The phrase "Black Lives Matter" devolves into "Only Black Lives Matter" when one reflects upon it.

That's correct.  It's retroactive.

That's why I'm attached to mine.  Had it since 1998.

@Cyber Liberty

I've had mine since my first post to FR,back in 97 or 98,and someone tipped me off there was someone posting on FR as a "Green Beret Colonel" with the screen name of "Deep in the Hurtgen Forrest",and babbling all sorts of nonsense about VN. Stuff like "There I was,standing in eyeballs up to my waist.....",etc,etc,etc. Well,not really,but close.

He also claimed to be in charge of  a team deployed to Bosnia ( IIRC) and people at FR "adopted" him and his team,and started sending them money,gifts for his team members,food,etc,etc,etc.

So I logged on as "sneakypete" to test and see if he really was a vet or not,because that was a derogatory name the regular army tagged us with back in the 50's,and if he had served when he claimed,he would have known this and known he was being addressed by someone with the ability to find out who he really was,and get him shut down.

I even made an effort to make it humorous by stating we all have "there I was,nothing around me but teeth,hair,and enemy eyeballs" stories we tell to each other for amusement purposes,and everybody hearing it knows it is BS,but that it is NOT alright to play these games with people who don't know any better,never mind accept gifts and cash from these people.

He didn't. He got a little snotty with me in his reply,so MY reply to him may have been a tad harsh,and I was no longer asking him to back off. I was insisting on it,and told him and everyone reading the threads he was posting to that he was a liar and a poser,and should be arrested.

Jim,Connie,and the whole clan went ballistic and immediately banned for life,and then wrote a bunch of nasty posts about me calling me "jealous of his accomplishments,a liar,etc,etc,etc."

Little did they know I was only the "point man",and there were probably dozens of other SF VN vets and current serving SF members reading the posts,and THEY started logging on and backing me. One was a serving senior officer who gave them his real name and telephone number,and invited anyone interested to call him to verify he is who he says he is.

Little did they know,but there were probable dozens of SF VN vets following those threads with a great deal of interest because they take that sort of thing seriously.  A few of the known and respected "freepers" knew someone that had served in SF in VN and asked them their opinion,and they knew who I am in "real life" and vouched for me.

BTW,do NOT be impressed by that. SF back in the 50's and 60's was a VERY small army unit,and pretty much everybody on the teams either knew each other,or had friends who knew each other. In  SF,you live or die by your reputation. If you get a reputation as being unreliable,it's not long before you found yourself in another unit. ALL it takes is for your team sgt to say "I don't want him because he is unreliable",and you are history. If the company SGM thinks it may be due to some factor other than performance,he will see if he can find another team to give you a home. If he can't or if that team give you the boot too,you are gone and never coming back.

Sooo,several other SF vets,some with public faces and names,logged on and vouched for me,and added the guy WAS a poser and HE should be booted instead of me. One was even a serving field grade officer who gave his real name and phone number if anyone wanted to call.

Which resulted in several "Free Sneakpete" threads being started by freepers who thought I was the one telling the truth. LOTS of people raising heck with Jim Bob,and he ended up banning some of my more vocal supporters. Which made it worse. He eventually ended up reinstating me,and Connie,for one,ended up offering me both public and private apologies.

What really put the cork in that sham was a couple of SF guys with free time on their hands started investigating that "Green Beret Colonel in Bosnia",and discovered not only his real name,but also the fact he was 19 years old and still living at home with his mama. They let him get away with just making a personal apology to all he had fooled,and offering to return money for any donations made to him,claiming he had donated it all to charity,and sent the food packages to soldiers actually serving in Bosnia. His father was an active duty soldier stationed in Texas,so you know he had to be embarrassed. He claimed he started doing it to pump up support for SF guys stationed in Bosnia,and it just got out of hand.

He also posted his confession as a stand-alone thread on FR and apologized to everyone he had fooled.

BTW,he was monitored by some SF guys in Texas to make sure he did the volunteer work,too. I don't know if these were the same guys that outed him or not,though.

Jim Bob kept those threads in the FR history for a couple of years,too. Kinda surprised me,and I do give him credit for that. Last time I checked a couple of years ago,there was only one to be found using their search engine,though.

@Cyber Liberty

@sneakypete

Great story.  Thank's for sharing.  My sn is not near as intriguing ...

@Cyber Liberty

Sorry about that. I was distracted and trying to answer to people so I could do something else. I have no idea how that happened unless there is a Cyberchick registered here,and it did auto-fill.

I have no freaking idea what CGEL is.
