As long as you arenâ€™t openly showing profanity in a public place, you should be able to display whatever sign you want in front of your business. End of story.

If you are willing to put out the money and take the risk of opening a business, there should be as little interference as possible from others save for what the market will allow.

For example, there are a couple of businesses in my area that I overheard one of the owners one day say something so absolutely vulgar in front of some younger customers that I made the decision right then and there to never go to them again.

Good for the business owner. He'll save time, as will those who don't want to shop there (for religious reasons, of course).

That's least of the trouble I have with the article. The big exciting thing that came next was...the shop owner declined to remove said sign. Whoop-do-doo.
