Biden campaign rips NY Times for running Schweizer op-ed on Ukraine: 'Are you truly blind?'

Joe Biden's presidential campaign ripped The New York Times for “giving top billing" to Peter Schweizer after the newspaper published an op-ed from the "Clinton Cash" author that contends that the former vice president was "self-dealing" in Ukraine during President Obama's second term.
CNN reported the objection came in a letter Wednesday night to the Times executive editor, Dean Baquet, from Biden Deputy Campaign Manager Kate Bedingfield, who called the decision to run the column an "active participation" in a "smear campaign" against the former vice president.
"This leaves us with a critical question: are you truly blind to what you got wrong in 2016, or are you deliberately continuing policies that distort reality for the sake of controversy and the clicks that accompany it?" Bedingfield asks Baquet.

Back in September Joe Biden told reporters he never discussed his son Hunter Biden’s lucrative business dealing with the Ukrainian regime. Hunter was making $50,000 to $150,000 for sitting on the board of Ukrainian Burisma holdings despite having no knowledge of Ukraine or the oil and gas industry.
Joe Biden told Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.â€
But on Wednesday Joe Biden changed up his story telling reporters, “He did say at one point that it came out that he was on the board. I said, “I sure hope the hell you know what you’re doing.†...

Biden seems to forget that he could get treated differently during the primary campaign - when any of several Dems could become the Dem nominee - than he would were he the Dem nominee.
