TBR Kitchen / Re: Good, low cost meals

I know I'll lose my Tx citizenship...but I put beans in my chili as well.

I am a big fan of casseroles but with today's prices there aren't  too many you can make on the cheap. Probably still cheaper for a family though.

I'll be interested to see some ideas.

Well,

So far, no specifics from anyone.

The far left has also co-opted the term and use it as a perjorative to brand the opposition and solidify the base against them.

You can bet super whackjob Ruben Gallego will be using it a lot in the days, weeks and months to come.

Are the Russkis patrolling there or trying to sneak in reinforcements to the Black Sea Fleet?

If ol' white joe's health takes an even deeper drop come September or so, watch for a lot of leftist heads to start turnin' in Bobby Jr.'s direction...

"As President Biden and Trump appear headed for a rematch in November, the two will likely put a lot of energy into the seven swing states — Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina — that could decide the election."

Fishrrman's calls for 2024:
Pennsylvania -- The Party's apparatus is too strong here
Michigan -- a "possible" for Mr. Trump. Won't be easy
Wisconsin -- has swung too far to the left since 2022. Probably not...
Arizona -- is a blue state now. 'Nuff said about that (sorry, Cyber)
Georgia -- is turning blue as well. Possible, but it's gonna be close
Nevada -- the leftists of Las Vegas will rule the day here. Nada
North Carolina -- Mr. Trump will still win here

(this is going into my "predictions" folder for future reference...)

Actually my first choice for answer was Give Me 40 Acres and I'll Turn this Rig Around...but I'm actually not computer literal enough to copy and paste that link.

It’s truly sad that this once-great country is simply too afraid to assert anything resembling national sovereignty anymore.  This situation is beyond repair.

Move it up to White Lake...
"Willie does Woodstock..."

Let them think whatever they want.
True or false.
Because... it no longer matters.

Once again, Fishrrman's dialectic:
You may not be interested in the politics of race, ethnicity, and identity.
But the politics of race, ethnicity and identity are VERY MUCH interested ... in YOU.

Recovered data recorder from crashed ship in Baltimore reveals pilot called for tugboat help minutes before plowing into bridge

Quote
The pilot of the cargo ship that knocked down a highway bridge into Baltimore Harbor had radioed for tugboat help and reported a power loss minutes earlier, federal safety officials say, citing new data from the freight's recorder.

The head of the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Jennifer Homendy, also said the Francis Scott Key Bridge lacked structural engineering redundancies common to newer spans, making it more vulnerable to a catastrophic collapse.

New insights into the fatal disaster emerged a day after the massive Singapore-flagged container ship Dali sailed out of Baltimore Harbour, before reporting loss of power and then crashing into a support pylon of the bridge.

The impact brought most of the bridge tumbling into the mouth of the Patapsco River within seconds, blocking shipping lanes and forcing the indefinite closure of the Port of Baltimore, one of the busiest on the US Eastern Seaboard.

Divers on Thursday recovered the remains of two of the six workers missing since the crumbling bridge tossed them into the water, officials said.
