McCarthy rips Schumer for lying about Trump blowout, calls to ‘bring back cameras’ for meetings with Dems

According to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the ones who acted stubborn and intransigent during a meeting held Wednesday afternoon at the White House in regard to the ongoing government shutdown were congressional Democrat leaders, not President Donald Trump.
This version of events contradicts the version outlined by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer during a press conference held outside the White House immediately after the meeting.
According to Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the president had a “temper tantrum†and refused to negotiate with them over putting a halt to the ongoing shutdown.
Speaking with reporters immediately following the press conference held by the congressional Democrat leaders, McCarthy suggested that these claims were bald-faced lies.
