Democrats want to come for your guns and they aren’t hiding it anymore. Former Vice President Joe Biden said as much on CNN Monday with Anderson Cooper.
Discussing his support for a national buyback program of “assault weapons,†the Democratic presidential candidate said that if elected, he is “going to come†for them.
“So to gun owners out there who say well, a Biden administration means they’re going to come for my guns,†Cooper said to Biden, who interjected: “Bingo. You’re right if you have an assault weapon.â€
“The fact of the matter is they should be illegal, period,†he added. “Look, the Second Amendment doesn’t say you can’t restrict the kinds of weapons people can own. You can’t buy a bazooka. You can’t have a flame thrower. The guys who make these arguments are the people who say, ‘The tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots. We need the protection against the government.’â€

At this point I'm not sure whether to go to my grandpas farm and bury my guns there or start buying ammo in bulk.
My gut says to do both at this point.

I'd give anything to hear just one reporter ask these gun grabbers supporting a government buy back of weapons "How can the government buy back something they never purchased in the first place?"

The term "assault weapon" is a classic, and classically dishonest perversion of language by Progressive forces in pursuit of political and social control.
It is intended to frighten and confuse people, and stampede them into demands for government action, in this case by falsely conflating the capabilities and lethality of automatic and semi-automatic firearms.

Mine are in 4" well casing filled with kerosene, and painted on the outside with foundation tar.. Works great. Costs nothing. And kerosene is handy up in the sticks.

That's also why red flag laws won't work.
Not you specifically...but there will be some people that end up being victims of these red flag laws that won't have all their weapons at their house...they'll have that "hole card". And the left and the squeamish on the right don't seem to realize that when they propose their feel good do nothing proposals.

Actually, it ain't even a prepper move for me... Just sensible to have some caches here and there in case you run into trouble up in the bush... I used to carry all my stuff in a backpack. Then I got in trouble crossing a river, and had to dump my gear or die... Came out of that one with nothing but a couple folding knives, sopping wet, no coat, nothing. 10 degrees and 2 ft of snow. and 50 miles from the gravel.
Made me wise the hard way. Now I carry a distributed set... A belt, a haversack, and a backpack, and any one will get me by. If I keep em all, I'm smoothin. Likewise, I set a few caches, just in case. Between em all, I can put a whole outfit together, though they are a few days apart. And any one will outfit me pretty good.
Two is one, one is none.
