90% of Migrants Seeking Asylum in the US Never Show Up for their Court Date
June 12, 2019 ~ Ann Corcoran

That is the statistic given by the acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security before a hearing in Senator Lindsey Graham’s Judiciary Committee yesterday.

They don’t show up because they know their asylum claim won’t pass the smell test!
border crashers

For the umpteenth time when someone seeks asylum (wants refugee status!) claiming they have a fear of returning to their home country, they must prove that they would be persecuted for one of several reasons—race, religion, political opinion, or because they are a member of a certain (persecuted) group.

Lying with statistics.

Being gratuitously false with statistics does not help one’s argument.

If the claimants are held in Mexico and have to wait a long time for the process to be completed I would bet most won't show and we will begin to see a sharp reduction in the numbers making these silly asylum claims.

I think Trump is on the right track with ending the work permits while the claim is pending and was pretty clever in doing so by keeping these illegals in Mexico.

Since the burden is on a refugee to show he is subject to persecution,  and since the refugee has never even bothered to show up for his hearing,  perhaps the solution is a simple and un-appealable rule that whenever such an individual is picked up after the missed court date,  for any reason or no reason,  he is subject to immediate deportation.   By failing to show up for his hearing, he forfeits his due process rights.

For example, the link you posted, where only actual orders to remove are included.

Prove here that your statistics are better, please

Yours read like an attempt to confuse, obfuscate, etc.
