Speaking to Lily Eskelen Garcia, the president of the National Education Association, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said he had the same feeling that the NEA has about charter schools, adding that no “private charter school will receive a penny of federal money. None.”

Garcia asked Biden, “So I have one more question.”

Biden answered, “Sure.”

Garcia continued, “There are lots of people who think there are other ways to solve all of these problems and NEA members have pushed back against what we think are very misguided school reforms, like charter schools. Regularly now we’ve seen families and communities who will join us in fighting to save that neighborhood public school. You know how we feel about charter schools.”

Biden: Same way I feel.

Garcia: We’d like to know how you feel about charter schools.

Hugh Hewitt mentioned this today on his radio program, as I was driving to work.  Biden went off script.

Being a puppet of the NEA will get him the teacher vote, but it will lose him votes too.  Being opposed to charter schools will cost him minority votes, no question.

I am beginning to believe the Dems believe they no longer need the minority vote, for there is such a large element of the population that genuinely hate Trump.  I think this foolish calculation does no favors for Biden.

Reminds me when I was in the newspaper business, and the directors fo circulation at the papers I was at decided to no longer attempt to sell papers to this group or another, and it brought circulation down.  Dumbest thing I ever witnessed to decide to no longer deliver  to this group or that because the cost was slightly higher than other forms of paper sales.  And we know where papers are today.  And yes, it is because of changes in communication, but they were also their own worst enemies.

I love the arrogance of the Democommies.  Keep it up!

The only possible rationale to go up against charter schools is that the Teachers Union does not like them.

They are tremendously beneficial to all that attend.
