Friday on CNN’s “The Lead,†anchor Jake Tapper accused the Trump administration of lying to the American people about the coronavirus.
Tapper said, “The coronavirus crisis is surge surging in two-thirds of the United States. You might not know that if you listen to the Trump White House, which today minimized the fact that there is a looming disaster in several states. The president and vice president continue to feed the American people lies about the state of this pandemic and their administration’s failures to rise to the moment. This map tells the story. Thirty-two states are battling an increase in cases. Eleven states are flat. Only seven states are showing a decline. With Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert warning today that the United States is at a crossroads and Americans can choose to be part of the problem or part of the solution. Unfortunately, President Trump and Vice President Pence seem to be opting to be part of the problem. Trump is refusing to set an example and wear a mask in public. He continues to hold rallies with no social distancing. Rallies that are veritable Petri dishes. Today at the first coronavirus task force briefing in two months, the vice president made statements to the American people that simply do not square with the facts. Pence insisted that states are opening safely and responsibly when the fact is very few states adhered to the White House’s own guidelines for reopening. Medical data clearly proves that it was a mistake. Then Mr. Pence said this.â€
In a clip, Pence said, “The reality is we’re in a much better place with the efforts President Trump mobilized at the federal level. We slowed the spread. We flattened the curve. We saved lives.â€

Has anyone else noticed all of the US news media has literally stopped covering anything else going on in the world?

Is it really "surging"? Or is there just that much more testing going on. Come to think of it... how accurate is the testing going on? And how can we count on accurate numbers coming from those leftists running those leftie states?
Considering how certain states seem to have deliberately increased the deaths attributed to Covid-19... I don't believe a damned thing any more.

Including this one. A massive blast in Iran a few days ago, which has pretty much has escaped any coverage at all. Suprised LAT included it.

I believe it is simply a case of more testing, but to date I have not seen anything to explain these positives. Do the positive results reflect infectious individuals or individuals who largely asymptomatic have recovered and are simply carrying the antibodies? We do know that many of these positives are being counted as hospitalizations also, just as any death where there was also a positive test result is still being counted as a Covid death no matter the real COD.

Houston has no more ICU beds and running out of regular beds. They are putting COVID patients in Texas Children's Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Those are not tests - those are real people.
Dallas numbers of hospitalized patients are catching up with Houston. These are real people, not number of tests given.
Could not believe yesterday when Florida had 9,000 new patients in one day. Those are people, not tests given.
I am beginning to believe this will never be over unless there is a big breakthrough and a reliable vaccine is developed.

All of Houston? Do you have a link? I am hearing that outside the Med Center, there are plenty of beds and facilites avaiable.
