Rahm Emanuel has 'assurances heads are rolling' over healthcare.gov failures

Somebody is going to lose their job when the dust settles on the rollout of healthcare.gov, according to Rahm Emanuel, President Obama's former chief of staff.

"I have all the confidence and all the assurance that heads are rolling and they're spinning right now to fix the problem," Emanuel, who led the White House effort to get the health care law passed through Congress, told CNN's Jake Tapper. He became Chicago mayor in 2011.

"And that's what the president wants everybody's energy on. Fix the problem," he continued. "We'll deal with culpability later, because the most important thing you've got to do is get the problem fixed."

Republican critics have called for Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to resign over the botched website, but Obama's team has closed ranks while trying to triage the rollout.

"[Sebelius] does have the full confidence of the president," White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters two weeks ago.

"He, like everyone else in this effort, is focused on our No. 1 priority, which is making the implementation of the Affordable Care Act work well. People are working 24/7 to address the problems and isolate them and fix them when it comes to the website and enrollment issues," Carney said.
