Each time he mentions an economic recovery no one has seen, drink.
Seriously, the only shovel-ready job he’s created was speechwriter. And when he says it won’t happen overnight, drink one more.
And when he says, “make no mistake, let me be clear,” and “there are those who disagree,” drink, drink, drink.
Every time he says “we can do better” as he fails at everything, or “we are better than that,” drink. Which reminds me, what’s with all the “we’s?” It’s you up there, not us.

GOP Rep. to bring 'Duck Dynasty' star to State of the Union as guest

Rep. Vance McAllister (R-La.) will bring “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson to the State of the Union address on Tuesday.
“I am proud to have my close friend, constituent and small business owner, Willie Robertson, attend tonight’s State of the Union Address as my special guest,” McAllister said in a statement.
Robertson’s father, Phil Robertson, was suspended from the A&E reality show in December because of anti-gay and racial remarks he made in an interview.
He told GQ magazine that homosexuality is a sin, and African-Americans were happier living under Jim Crow laws.
The show, which began in 2012, is set in Louisiana. McAllister won the special election in November to replace former Rep. Rodney Alexander (R-La.).
Phil Robertson endorsed McAllister in the race to win the district, which is located in a rural area along the Mississippi River. Willie also recorded a get-out-the-vote video for McAllister in the lead-up to the election.
“Willie is thankful for this opportunity and honored to attend. I look forward to the two of us representing the Fifth District in DC this evening and bringing some diversity to our nation’s capitol.”

The Queen's addresses are about the closest. The opening address covers desired legislation in the next year. Her Christmas address covers what actually happened during the year to all of us, and her closing address sets the stage for next years plans.
Of the three, the Christmas one is most watched. Broadcast on BBC TV and Radio, bang on 15:00 Christmas Day.
The PM doesn't make a SOTU as such - but he has to stand in Parliament once a week and take questions. It's acceptable for him to say "I don't know" but he has to find out and provide the questioner with an answer within 48 hours, which must also be provided to Hansard (it's a massive compendium of every law, debate and answer since about 1800 and is public record).
The only other major national speech we have is the budget, where the Chancellor says what is going up (beer, booze and baccy ALWAYS go up) and spending targets for the year.

Finally, take a drink any time the cameras cut away to Chad Henderson, the Obamacare poster boy who told reporters he was among the first to sign up under the law but hadn't actually enrolled in health insurance. He says he'll be there, as a guest of Texas GOP Rep. Steve Stockman.
Like more than a few others on the forum, I'm so incredulous of WTF is going on around me, that I am purposely boycotting the speech.

So finally an explanation of how they have come up with the immigration numbers - they are from the CBO and "assume" not one of the new "citizens" will ever take one dime of benefits from society.
Because the CBO can only make projections based on the faulty information they are given. They can't use outside info.

The Blaze panel is telling it like it is. I can never go back to the mainstream media.
Unlike FOX, I think Glenn Beck has fostered an atmosphere of 'don't be afraid to say what you think, as long as it is the truth'. I don't think the panel is as "censored" as those on FOX, who seem to have to walk on egg shells around Obama and the GOP elite.
Good points about the similarities between Carter and Obama and the Reagan way which turned the economy around almost over night.
Here we have O saying we need to bring all these low wage people into the country and in the meantime the jobs they want them to fill are going to be replaced by robots which work for FREE and then what we are stuck with even more people on the dole.

I saw that. At this point, it looks like the democrats are on their own. I switched to Bing off and on because it had a graph. The Independents and Republicans were lock step throughout the entire speech. The dems weren't that enthused, either. The same happened with the after speech.

Democrats want nothing less than to have Obama round up all Republicans and liquidate them. They have become that unhinged.
