I think wikipedia says the new Paramount Network is channel 241 on both Direct and Dish TV. They were formally "Spike TV". I've seen trailers for this 6 part tv series as well.

TV News Desk

As the nation approaches the 25th anniversary of the federal siege on David Koresh's Branch Davidian compound, Paramount Network will present the six-part television event WACO premiering Wednesday, January 24 at 10 pm, ET/PT. Featuring an all-star cast including Michael Shannon, Taylor Kitsch, Andrea Riseborough, John Leguizamo, Melissa Benoist, Paul Sparks, Shea Whigham, Rory Culkin, Julia Garner and Camryn Manheim, Paramount Network's "Waco" chronicles this true story told from perspectives of those who were intimately involved. Watch the trailer below:

In February 1993, the eyes of the world converged on Mount Carmel, a small religious community located just outside Waco, TX. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) had just conducted a massive raid on David Koresh and his followers, known as the Branch Davidians. After what became the longest gun battle in U.S. law enforcement history, four ATF agents and six civilians were dead and dozens more were wounded. A 51-day standoff ensued, and the conflict ended after an FBI assault led to a fire that engulfed Mount Carmel, killing 76 men, women, and children.

What did you learn that really stood out to you, that really changed your perspective?

DD: Meeting David Thibodeau and understanding who the Branch Davidians really were was eye-opening for us. We were told that David Koresh was a monster and everyone who followed him was a mindless drone who was just blindly willing to kill themselves at his command, and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. You can debate endlessly about how bad David Koresh was — and he was guilty of some indefensible acts, no question — but who were the rest of these people, and what did they believe? What we found was these people were from all over the world, and they were extremely passionate about studying the Bible. These people were people.

Thibodeau was someone Koresh casually met and then, lived at the compound for a spell.
