It's not super clear whether Ocasio-Cortez and her cohorts realize that electric cars also run on fossil fuels (the Green New Deal requires all parking lots to have electric vehicle charging stations, regardless)...

No, I didn't vote for Trump in the primaries and would have preferred Cruz. He didn't get elected. Trump is who we have to work with as an opposition to the leftists.

One problem with current lithium-ion battery production -- a battery that weighs around 1,000 pounds and is the single most expensive component in an EV -- is that the metals to build the battery are mined in just a handful of countries, using methods that are far from environmentally friendly. Another major problem -- one that is not fully felt with the current number of EVs on the road -- is where the energy to build the batteries and EVs comes from.

The hypocrisy and stupidity of the left is, as usual, stunning. In their rage for "clean energy"... they manage to muck things up even more by demanding that consumers use certain products.
Considering how even used car batteries are considered hazardous waste and toxic to landfills.... their push for "electric cars" is absurd when you consider the toxic hazard reality that those batteries present for the environment. It reminds me of how they pushed the new light bulbs that contain mercury .... supposedly a "green" improvement over the old style bulbs.
Why anyone even listens to these morons on the left boggles the mind. :shrug:

I tend to think That the GOP majorities in Congress might have had the balls to restrain spending under Hitlery, like they restrained her husband's. You're entitled to your opinion, and @XenaLee and I'm sorry we don't agree, but I do agree Obama was one of the worst Presidents of my lifetime, although I'd rate LBJ and Carter worse than Obama, and we could argue who was worse but why bother when I'm sure you think both LBJ and Carter sucked also. :laugh:

I was obsessed by the Kenyan just a few years ago. The problem for me is I think President Trump is a very bad person and a worse executive. I think he has purposefully divided the country and is a terrible role model for humanity and my children. I think he is impaired mentally and I get frustrated that others don't see it or acknowledge it, but I understand I don't get to pick what you think or what you see. It's OK you think Trump ain't bad at all. I'm sure you could present a solid argument that glosses over the deficit, no investigation of Hitlery, continued funding of PP, and the loss of the House...which is hard because I bet we both think all those things are terrible. For me the terrible outweighs the good(taxes, regulations, judges)
I don't see you praising Trump as the BEST President. We agree on this too.

Andrew Wilkow said on his radio show that as soon as one of the big lobbyists figures out how to be the main government contractor of our slavery, they will pull the strings of the republican establishment who will suddenly see how beneficial the enslavement will be for their power and control. I think he's right. Our "public servants" don't give a crap about us. The founders should have put term limits in the Constitution but they couldn't know how the pigs would feed at the trough. The train and zoom-zoom reference is this person obviously doesn't understand the need and importance of rapid food distribution in this country.
