Jason Chaffetz, former House of Representatives member and Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was on Justice with Judge Janine Pirro Saturday night and he dropped a BOMBSHELL about Attorney General Jeff Sessions:
Judge Janine: I want to know one thing and I want to know this for my audience – for the Janine audience – I’ll call them the Janine audience, ok? I’m a prosecutor. I was a judge. I did this for 30 years. I know how to put a case together and all that stuff.
Barack Obama and his administration did things that if we did we’d all be in jail right now.....

The question is why. I happen to believe that he is just following orders from the president.

That's pretty obvious as the President has come out several time saying he wouldn't go after Hillary.

On Trumps orders.

Which again leads to the same question. Why? What do they have on him?
-
The question is why. I happen to believe that he is just following orders from the president.
Please list the former President and administration members, that have been prosecuted by subsequent administrations in our history.
Perhaps answer why GW Bush didn't pursue Clinton. Or why Ford didn't pursue Nixon.
At least part of the answer, is we as a nation tend to not do that, since it moves in the direction of a Banana Republic, criminalizing politics.
My remarks DO NOT mean I think criminal acts have not been committed. They have...in the pursuit of political ends.
When we do prosecute, we tend to go for the subordinates. Liddy
-
Which again leads to the same question. Why? What do they have on him?
Because Trump has no desire to prosecute his life-long friends.
-
Because Trump has no desire to prosecute his life-long friends.
Perhaps it is as simple as that but I personally doubt it.
-
"Lock'er Up!!!"...rah rah rah
-
"Lock'er Up!!!"...rah rah rah
And our banana republic"justice" system rolls along unabated.
-
Perhaps it is as simple as that but I personally doubt it.
Why? Occam's Razor, Trump's statements about leaving her alone, and the long-term friendship between Trump and the Clintons, and Trump's own long-term liberalism all day otherwise.
Sometimes it is just as simple as that.

Either way it sucks!

Either way it sucks!
True, but it's hardly unexpected.
-
Also note worthy, other than a few critiques concerning this Administration on her national book tour that vindictive witch and her pervert husband have been pretty quiet about Trump so far, I believe they both know how deranged he can be if you rattle his cage. That speaks volumes to me.
-
While it's nice to have this confirmed, we all knew it anyway. If the administration had wanted to pursue it, it would be being pursued. It's not.

In other words, all those campaign promises were lies.

Unfortunately that appears to be true.

Which is why.... NeverTrumpers question Trump's ""sincerity"" now, as well as during his campaign. Making promises you never intend to keep is called LYING and is what leads to corruption...in the real world. And supposedly, Trump was going to change all that (lololol).
Trump won't go after the Democrats.... because his whole family ARE Democrats... and he probably has more friends that are Democrats than Republicans. It's reality.

And this particular lie is YOUGE!

Which leads one to wonder: what other campaign promises were also lies?

You said what I wanted to far better than I could have. TY

In a word: Everything.
Recall those New York Values where "pay for play" is just the cost of doin' bid'ness? Uh huh. 'nuff said.

I think maybe, just maybe, it's time to change all that! Doesn't seem to have worked all that well for us!

In a constitutional republic where the law is king rather than the king being law, no one no matter how high his office is above that law. We may not follow that principle any longer, but we are the losers for it. To make even our Presidents accountable to the law does not make us a banana republic. Just the opposite.
When Ford pardoned Nixon it at least acknowledged the law. To just ignore wrong doing is to make the person above the law. Purposes vary. I suppose in this case it might be an "I'll overlook your lawbreaking if you overlook mine." Whatever the reason, it is not better. It places positions above the law. Power over justice. Do as I say, not as I do. It can only get worse from here.
There is a danger that prosecutions will become political. But that exists either way. This is where selecting men and women of good character makes all the difference. When they are driven by a duty to God to do what is right no matter what, we have a better chance at a just outcome. That should motivate people to do what is right even when it is their own political party that will suffer. When they are driven by winning power at all cost, be it for their own political party or their own ego, and by any means necessary, our chances are grim.
-

It is. I won't hold my breath.

Where can I get me a dime for every bombshell I've heard over the past 10 years? I'd like to retire.

I'm not sure it qualifies for RBF, especially with the eyes closed. There is a lot of emotion passed through the eyes on a good RBF. I think she's getting her hairs did at the salon.

Haha, such important stuff!

The question is why. I happen to believe that he is just following orders from the president.
Jeff Sessions was a solid conservative as a Senator.
Under this populist President he is a huge disappointment.
I agree. He is following orders.

I agree. He is following orders.
During his confirmation hearing he PROMISED he would be independent and NOT follow orders.
