Title: Colorado teenage gunman had 'very strong beliefs about gun laws' and Republicans

Another liberal school shooter.

He was bullied for his outspoken opinions and didn't care much for Republicans.

Karl Pierson, 18, who stormed his Colorado high school brandishing a shotgun and bearing hatred for his debate coach, critically injured a 15-year-old fellow student before shooting himself to death Friday afternoon as he was cornered by heavily armed police....

On his Facebook page, he seemed to make fun of Republicans, writing "you republicans are so cute" and posting an image that read: "The Republican Party: Health Care: Let 'em Die, Climate Change: Let 'em Die, Gun Violence: Let 'em Die, Women's Rights: Let 'em Die, More War: Let 'em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?" The Denver Post reported.

In one Facebook post, Pierson attacks the philosophies of economist Adam Smith, who through his invisible-hand theory pushed the notion that the free market was self-regulating. In another post, he describes himself as "Keynesian."

"I was wondering to all the neoclassicals and neoliberals, why isn't the market correcting itself?" he wrote. "If the invisible hand is so strong, shouldn't it be able to overpower regulations?"

A little bit more from Ace of Spades, the beginning of the second quote:

Thomas Conrad, who had an economics class with [the shooter] Pierson, described him as a very opinionated Socialist*.

"He was exuberant I guess," Conrad said. "A lot of people picked on him, but it didn't seem to bother him."

In one Facebook post...

* Wordy Girl notes that the Denver Post has now stealth-edited out the S-word.

And how many times he voted for Obama?

Considering he wasn't old enough to vote in the last election, my bet is several times.

Now that he took his own life, I'm sure he'll be voting Democrat for elections to come.

Facebook has wiped his page out but there are ways to get archived copies. I'm going to see if I can find some screenshots or take some of it.

He can vote a lot more for liberals now.
