Hearing erupts as Acting AG Whitaker calls time on Dem chairman: ‘Your 5 minutes is up’
Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker stunned onlookers and lawmakers during an already-contentious House hearing Friday, when he tried to call time on the Democratic chairman after yet another line of questioning regarding Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe.
The retort came after Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., first said he wanted Whitaker to appear for a private deposition after the hearing and went on to ask Whitaker whether he had been “asked to approve any requests or action†for the special counsel.
“Mr. Chairman, I see that your five minutes is up, so…†Whitaker replied as the hearing room broke out in gasps. “I am here voluntarily. We have agreed to five-minute rounds.â€...

So far, the most interesting portion has been Whitaker refusing to confirm any nefarious motive behind the August Rosenstein memo, much to Jordan's chagrin.
This hearing is rather pointless, anyway. Whitaker didn't recuse himself, has testified he hasn't cut funds, stopped, or redirected the investigation. He will be replaced shortly, by William Barr. So, this is largely irrelevant.

This is a 'Get Trump' hearing, not an oversight hearing. The position of the Dems is completely prosecutorial and partisan.

Whitaker is willing to put himself in legal jeopardy. This is a good thing and can serve as a lesson to others when his career is destroyed like other Trump enablers who sacrificed their futures before Whitaker.

It's an ongoing "get Trump" campaign. The only question in my mind is.... why the hell are we (those of us that are in the majority, despite what the idiot left and their leftist media puppets bleat) letting them continue to get away with it? It's just a not-so-veiled attempt at a coup to remove Trump from office. That's sedition, treason, high crimes and misdemeanors in my logic book. What... the.... hell?

It is flat out embarrassing that some of these people were actually elected to Congress. One democrat woman got so hysterical about the children 'being separated at the border' that I wanted to slap her and say what about all the unborn children you can wait to kill?
This is a ridiculous and time wasting display for these people to spend time showing their ignorance in excruciating length ... why do we put up with this.
This system needs to be reformed and now. Each party could select a few people to question.

I'll put on my tinfoil hat for a moment. There are no outward indications Mueller is winding down. However, that's what Whitaker has said. There's a minute chance he burns the house down and dismisses Mueller on the way out the door, then slides into a cushy position at a DC law firm.
