For Most Trump Voters, ‘Very Warm’ Feelings for Him Endured

In the wake of Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory, an overwhelming majority of those who said they had voted for him had “warm†feelings for him.
By this spring, more than a year into Trump’s presidency, the feelings of these same Trump voters had changed very little.
In March, 82% of those who reported voting for Trump – and whom researchers were able to verify through voting records as having voted in 2016 – said they felt “warmly†toward Trump, with 62% saying they had “very warm†feelings toward him. Their feelings were expressed on a 0-100 “feeling thermometer.†A rating of 51 or higher is “warm,†with 76 or higher indicating “very warm†feelings.
The views of these same Trump voters had been quite similar in November 2016: At that time, 87% had warm feelings toward him, including 63% who had very warm feelings.

That's the problem. Too many vote based on "feelings," not whether the candidate can do the job.
And I don't mean just Trump supoorters. I see it all over. Republicans, Democrats. They "feel." They don't think.

'Warm feelings' means nothing to me.
My relatives from the old country still had 'warm feelings' about Hitler too. In-laws are still gushing about Obama.
Screw Godwin's law - the fact remains that 'warm feelings' always exist among those mesmerized by a cult of personality that they ascribe themselves to, no matter the amounts of idiocy or horrors involved.

I guess 'feelings' was a poor choice of words because it sounds too emotional. You know I wasn't a Trump fan until the election and I wouldn't call my opinion of him 'warm feelings' but I like him and I think he's doing the best job possible under the circumstances.
The article is simply saying that Trump voters still like him and would vote for him again.
I've encountered too many cranky, disgruntled people today. Not sure what would make them happy.
