Surveillance video of the shooting shows the suspect ambush the deputies as they sat in the patrol car.
A person clad in dark clothing walks up to the parked vehicle at the Metro station, approaches the window on the passenger’s side and fires several times at close range. The suspect then runs off on foot.

The video to me makes it seem like a small Hispanic girl did the firing on the police officer. Prayers for them and not so much for the politicians that have painted bullseyes on the police.

Two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were ambushed and shot while on duty in Compton, California, according to local police.
The deputies were parked near the Compton sheriff's station when the gunman came up from behind and ambushed them around 7 p.m. Pacific time on Saturday, Capt. Kent Wegener said at a press conference on Saturday night.
“He walked along the passenger side of the car,†Wegener said. “He acted as if he was going to walk past the car. And then, he made a left turn directly toward the car, raised a pistol, and fired several rounds inside of the vehicle, striking both of the sheriff’s deputies.â€

How sad for the officers that there is such hate there. Lynwood was so different when I grew up there but really started going downhill after the Watts riots, even then the scum were coming in and making unsafe for Whites. My mother was a nurse at St. Francis back when it was run by Nuns and it was one of the premier hospitals, even movie and TV stars went there.
I was back in Lynwood six years ago when I was so desperate for work I applied at the school district there and it had transitioned to a primarily if not overwhelmingly a Hispanic population, so once again it looks like the trouble makers may be coming from the outside.
Prayers for the deputies and their families. I can't help wondering how much longer before citizens fed up with the inability of local government and law enforcement to deal with these terrorists take decisive action to 'eliminate' the threat. I have to believe that we will see law enforcement officers, on their own, go rogue and seek retribution in the near future also.

UPDATE — 3:00 P.M. EST: The Los Angeles Times reports two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies who were shot in an apparent ambush in Compton Saturday evening are out of surgery and expected to survive. Sheriff Alex Villanueva described the condition of the wounded officers as a “double miracle,†according to the newspaper. A $100,000 reward for information leading to arrest of suspect has been issued.

This women showed her will to survive and proved she had a winning mindset! She was shot twice in the face, multiple times in her arms and she stood tall and refused to give up...she placed a tourniquet on her partner, coordinate emergency response and got herself and her partner off the X, all while providing cover to her partner, who was also shot multiple times in the head and arms.
And all the while “protesters†were blocking the hospital entrances and cheering for the death of these officers.

L.A. Sheriff’s Deputy Praised as Hero for Helping Her Partner Survive Ambush Shooting

The female Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy who was ambushed and shot in the face on Saturday has emerged as a hero for helping her partner who was also seriously wounded during the attack, a source familiar with the incident told Breitbart News.
The 31-year-old mother was one of two officers who were both shot in the face after an assailant approached their parked cruiser in Compton and opened fire on them. Both deputies remain in critical condition and are expected to survive the horrific attack.
Breitbart News learned the identities of both officers but refrained from publishing their names. On Tuesday, Britain’s Daily Mail published the name of Claudia Apolinar, reporting she is a former librarian who had graduated the L.A. Police Academy only one year ago.
Apolinar is the mother of a six-year-old child. She sustained bullet wounds to the jaw and arms, while the other officer — a 24-year-old male, also Latino — was hit in the forehead, an arm, and a hand.

Californians are reaping the benefits of being a single party state, with the rats being that party in a supermajority. During this lockdown a few rat voters have apparently seen the light, that is, even though the state GOP was flaccid it did serve as some kind of brake on the left.
That brake is now gone - even Jerry Brown lamented the loss of an opposition party in Sacramento on his way out.
We'll see what happens in November but the rats have spent the past several years locking in their majority so it'll be nearly impossible to dislodge them. It'll take a massive seismic event.
A lesson for those in the rest of the country who think things can't get worse.

lol. Funny. Not true for all women. I have fibromyalgia, which makes me have a very low tolerance for pain. I 'feel' pain 4 times harder, than a normal person. It is a nerve thing in my spine. The only time it was 'fun' was in my younger years.
WINK. Everything was more intense. I can feel things, doctors claim, I can't. Then I prove them wrong. lol
Stitches, birth, radiation, touching my skin. I could tell them, where the stitch was, where radiation 'went', till it killed the nerve.

Kevin Wharton Price, one of the Black Lives Matter supporters who protested at the entrance to the hospital where two L.A. County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) deputies were rushed Saturday, said he has no regrets.
On Saturday evening, Price was seen outside the local hospital where the two LASD deputies had been rushed after being shot in the face and head, respectively, when they were ambushed by a man who shot them as they sat in their patrol car.

“The shooting of anyone is a wholly unacceptable occurrence in society. I do not condone the type of violence seen in the shooting of the deputies yesterday in Compton. I will say that communities like Compton have been plagued by deputy gangs that inflict fear and violence in the community,†Ometeotl wrote on Instagram.
“These deputies murdered, framed and stole from the community just because they could. Good deputies never turned on bad deputies for fear of retaliation and when caught most of these bad deputies kept their jobs and continued on their criminal career. The fact that someone randomly opened fire on deputies is to be expected in the society we live in today. The political climate and leadership of Sheriff Villanueva has only sowed the seeds of anger and frustration in the community. Deputy shot in Compton attack released from hospital

This guy is an ass, and if recent history of Lynwood holds true probably corrupt, but he has little to nothing to do with the LA County Sheriffs Department other than paying the bill for its services. Wherever this moron lives you can bet he will be the last to receive any assistance from law enforcement when he needs it and rightfully so.

Why would they? After all,decent people don't commit crimes and don't bother anyone. They go to work,come back home,and spend time with their families and friends.
There is nothing "newsworthy" about that,although if things don't change soon,people like that will be getting reported by some amused news reader in something like "man bites dog" reports.

My point is that decent people - whether in Montana or California - are invisible if one bases one's impressions of a community on who makes the 6 O'Clock news. Decent Montanans are invisible, and decent Californians are invisible.

The two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies who were ambushed in their patrol car and shot earlier this month in Compton have been released from the hospital, the police department announced Monday night.
“They both have a long road to recovery and LASD appreciates your continued prayers and all the support,†officials said in a statement.
Both are now home “resting.â€
Claudia Apolinar, the 31-year-old mother who was shot multiple times including in the jaw, was discharged from St. Francis Medical Center, four days after her 24-year-old partner was released.
Apolinar and her unidentified male partner were “ambushed†and shot at close range around 7 p.m. on Sept. 12, according to the sheriff’s department and surveillance footage that captured the attack.
