Trump to be interviewed by Fox's Ingraham after El Paso rally
By Joe Concha - 02/09/19 12:28 PM EST

President Trump will sit down with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Monday for a live interview following his rally in El Paso, Texas, that day.

The interview "will discuss a potential border deal, among other topics," the network announced in a statement on Saturday.

Trump has been interviewed more than 40 times on Fox News and Fox Business since taking office, including interviewing with "The Ingraham Angle" host on Oct. 29 from the White House.

The president has not appeared on CNN or MSNBC since taking office.

The scheduled sit-down comes as another partial government shutdown looms if lawmakers cannot reach a deal on border funding before Feb. 15.

The president has openly mulled declaring a national emergency if Democrats do not agree to provide billions of dollars in funding for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border wall.

The wall served as the primary sticking point for the last partial government shutdown, which dragged on for 35 days, making it the longest shutdown in U.S. history. It ended Jan. 25.

“I think we might work a deal, and if we don’t, we might go that route,” the president said to reporters in the Oval Office last month.
