Henry Cavill Out as Superman Amid Warner Bros.' DC Universe Shake-Up
The DC cinematic universe appears to be losing its Man of Steel.
Henry Cavill, who has played Superman in three films, is parting ways with Warner Bros., sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. The British actor, who first donned the blue suit for 2013's Man of Steel, and then starred in 2016's Batman v. Superman and last year's Justice League, is said to be hanging up the red cape.
Warners had been trying to enlist Cavill, who most recently co-starred in Mission: Impossible — Fallout, for a Superman cameo in Shazam!, which stars Zachary Levi and will bow April 5. But contract talks between Cavill's WME reps and Warners broke down, and the door is now closing on other potential Superman appearances.

Well the first part is true.
Rumors are that Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther) is wanted by DC to play Superman when they reboot the property sometime in the next few years. Superman they say is "Too White". Time to make him a homosexual black man seems to be the push.
DC has been a total clusterfudge as far as their Cinematic Universe went. The suits up there are morons who only understood money and not the source material at all. Looks like they are doubling down on stupidity and infusing the SJW content in their properties.
Wonder Woman was the only decent entry in their efforts to ride the coattails of Marvel's Avengers. I dug Cavill as Supes - but the scripts and movies they dumped him in sucked. Man of Steel was not too bad until the final third act and then it went so far over the top with that Kryptonian engine that killed a couple hundred thousand people in the first few minutes that wasted Metropolis. Batman Versus Superman was horrifyingly bad to the point I only watched it once and the only scene at all that was remotely memorable was the Batman warehouse fight. Putting Snyder in there to direct was a massive mistake after his debacle with both Watchmen and Sucker Punch. It was stupid to keep him in there.
Aquaman may prove salvageable but not even the comic fanboys hold out any hope now. The suits are focusing on TV, and if you saw the new teen soap-opera "Teen Titans" trailer, where Robin shouts "F_ck Batman!" while engaging in brutal fighting that would make Pulp Fiction blush - I'd say DC has flushed itself. Letting Cavill go demonstrates just how stupid and blind they are to the audience.
