Good to see the news reporting....now if we can just get the MSM to start doing the same. Obviously what's being done along the border isn't working!! WATCH: Stunning video shows over 100 illegal immigrants strolling around border wall to enter US.
Anyone still think that we don't need our military at the border and allow them to fire at the enemies coming in????
Each and every U.S. citizen should be outraged! Each and every U.S. citizen should be sending this video to their reps and especially to Pelosi and Chuckie!!!!

Nothing new here. We all knew this.
Also, This is immigration material. Fine if people want to post it here, however, I'd be wary if some have obvious axes to grind and use this to control the conversation. That's not fair to the rest of us. This has gone on for so long to use the rationale "well, they must be in error posting here, no big deal."
@Mod1 etc.
-
Are those people Goth or Alt Right?
I can't tell because they all seem to be dressed in black.

What does this mean, Tom?
I am not understanding what you are trying to say here...

No worries .... all dressed in black, probably just ISIS.

????? Axe to grind???? Actually, I'm trying to encourage people to send this video to the reps, Pelosi and Schumer. This is front page ...FOX NEWS.
Not quite sure what you are getting at. Are you saying that this isn't happening???
-
Good to see the news reporting
This and videos like it have been reported, especially of FNC, and have been all over Al Gore's magnificent Internet for months.
This is not new news.
-
Less than 7 years after JFK did his "We choose to go to the Moon" speech, we were there. 50 years later, we can't even secure our southern border in a reasonable amount of time.
-

I said it is happening. Again, I don't think we should just have this whole conversation controlled in some way. If it's Fox News frontpage, then, maybe we could have seen the whole story. I don't think it adds to the conversation if we just have immigration stories that might belong in immigration posted by members who trash the president continuously.
-

No, certainly not new news as this has been going on --but you already knew that of course. I posted because it's front and center TODAY on Fox News website.

Reasonable amount of time? How about can't secure it period??
-
Click bait. But, why is that necessary here at TBR?

Trashing the President?? Nope. Only his FAILURE at the border ... other times ... I have praised him and given him credit.
I know you have a problem with people who don't blindly accept everything this President does and tells you through his tweets; so do me a favor ... PLEASE don't read or respond to my posts. happy77

So what? Fox has been reporting these videos .... front and center .... for a while.
It really isn't news.

Because all our hair must be on fire. :smokin:

Well ... I'd rather have them keep reporting on the situation, rather than burying it and pretend it's not happening .... like others!

No you don't know.

More condescending uncivil discussion.

It's one thing to post in one area, we've witnessed the past few days, crudities hurled at others, insults.
Believe me, if you don't want me to respond and your only response is insulting others to the same ol' same ol', I will, I don't think this kind of behavior, you aren't interested in discussion, you are interested in your own one sided rants.
And again, your opinion is "failure", yet, no one, Mark Levine, Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton, Louis Gohmert, no one is really calling this failure, so if one is spreading untruths, they should be responded to.

Now I think I understand. If someone has been throwing food around, that is uncalled for!!
Crudités can be expensive!!

Don't turn this thread into another front of the Trump Wars.
-
Let's stick to the topic and not try to read the motivations of other posters.
-

Reminds me of the time I referred (intentionally, as a joke) to a vegetable platter as "coup d'état," and the food service manager looked at me, perplexed.
"What did I say?" he asked.
He was sure he'd called it crudités!

The outrage I have at this is nothing compared to the outrage I have at an Executive Branch that collects these people, gives them food, shelter, and supplies, and then gives them free transportation dumping them into Kansas, North Texas, Idaho, Ohio, etc., and the means to disappear into American society to collect all the free goodies our government has to offer.

Unless I see different, this may all be border patrol procedure, maybe congress can legislate this too but I don't know if it is the executive branch's responsibility anymore than the others. Nice narrative though.
-
Trump negotiated a deal with Mexico. All fixed.

Agreed.

What's next? Blame the IRS code on Trump? Maybe he should change all that. Any proof of the above? Or are people just free to make uninformed statements? :rolling:
Border Patrol is a Federal Agency like the IRS, I'm sure the president is limited in what he can tell them to do.
Any proof?

The outrage I have are with Senators we have saying "Oh, look at my Chapo bill." Yeah, we've looked at it for over a year? Any action on it??? You all are suppose to work things out. Is the Senate capable of anything but sitting on their duffs?
At least, Paul Ryan's congress actually did defund Planned Parenthood and did override Obamacare. No thanks to the Senate.

Yeah, anyone note, the initial video was filmed before that "deal" announced. Oh well, who cares about facts if one is just setting up a scene to gripe about others.

The Senate does not run the Executive branch. They aren't in charge of Catch-and-Release. And they aren't giving free stuff to illegals either.

In practical terms, the Executive Branch can't control immigration policy. Federale (Not a mistype) District Judges have nullified all attempts by Trump on the immigration front.

Actually @Hoodat the President has tired to end catch and release, and the courts blocked his effort. The courts shot down the President's EO in 2018 claiming this would separate families.(Remember that uproar?) Congress, with the power to pass laws has the power to end catch and release. It doesn't want to, so right now we’re pretty much stuck in the mud.
It will be interesting to see the actual language of the new agreement with Mexico because the nub of this agreement (that we know so far) appears to be Mexico agreeing to keep the "asylum" seekers pending their court review ... while providing health care and job opportunities. This could eliminate the "release" attached to the "catch". It will also be interesting to see the courts justification for banning this. There is a proposal said to be going before the Mexican Congress for a vote that came out of last week's negotiation. The prevailing rumor is it revolves around first country asylum.
As for the free health care, welfare, food stamps still given to illegals, this, too, is the jurisdiction of Congress and state legislatures; and they’re looking to give away more. The President cannon wave a wand and take away "benefits" legally passed into law. But the President is still doing what he can. Effective just this Jun 5 the President has stopped the outrageous giveaways to illegals awaiting their court dates including education services, legal services and organized sports.
I appreciate how easy it is to point a finger at one person (under the auspice of "Executive Branch") rather than use a scattergun, but the truth is: The highest wall in this immigration war has been built around the President.
-
Yeah, anyone note, the initial video was filmed before that "deal" announced. Oh well, who cares about facts if one is just setting up a scene to gripe about others.
Was it filmed before Trump promised a huge wall paid by Mexico?
Who cares about facts? Not Trumpers.

There was a court ruling regarding the deportation of asylum seekers caught inside the US. But there is no court ruling regarding their detention. Catch-and-Detain is perfectly legal, and no judge has ruled otherwise.

Please cite the case.

. . . . The reality on the border, according to one Customs and Border Protection official, is that the agency is overwhelmed. Border Patrol stations are overcrowded and kids are waiting in cagelike holding cells while their mothers and fathers go to court in shackles. The agency simply does not have the resources to enforce "zero tolerance." . . .
https://www.npr.org/2018/06/26/623451388/trumps-zero-tolerance-policy-overwhelms-border-agents (https://www.npr.org/2018/06/26/623451388/trumps-zero-tolerance-policy-overwhelms-border-agents)
It was an executive decision - not a court order.
-
There should be troops standing and armed at the end of that wall.
And they should "do what they have to do" to PREVENT those illegals from "strolling" across the border line.
If "what they have to do" includes using their weapons, that's ok with me.
Is it ok with YOU..?
-

Amen.

Fine. It may require some sacrifices to coalesce the nation towards solving the problem. I don't expect any deaths will strengthen the President's position though.

Hard to say. The many innocent people slaughtered by illegal aliens hasn't convinced a surprising number of people there really is an emergency. A "crisis" if you will.

President Donald Trump pushed back after reports revealed major components of his security deal with Mexico were actually agreed upon several months ago.

This concerns the first deal. Mexico reneged on that deal. Now we have a second deal, both sides signing. POTUS also kept the right to impose tariffs if Mexico does not do what they agreed to do.

The Posse Comitus Act forbids the use of military weapon fire @ the border. The only way they can actually use those weapons to stop the invasion is that Congress would have to approve. Iow, forget about it. We know they have no desire to cut down the trafficking and drugs.

They know, libertybele. Some of us have been calling, mailing, sending info for 2 decades. They don't want to stop the flow.
#DitchTheMitch has already stated that he won't work with Trump on illegal immigration. I pray Kentucky votes this bum out.
They're in on the take. There is a reason they enter politics poor and end up multi-millionaires.
