AMERICA’S ARMY RESERVE: GLOBALLY POSITIONED, GLOBALLY ENGAGED

On 23 April, America's Army Reserve will celebrate 109 years in service to the Army and the Nation, evolving from a tiny corps of medical professionals to a globally positioned and engaged operational reserve force. 

For 109 years, the Army Reserve has never failed to meet the challenges of its time, evolving from a tiny corps of medical professionals to what is today the Army’s global operational reserve force.

Globally positioned and engaged to support America’s active duty forces, today’s Army Reserve is the most battled-tested and experienced in history, providing trained and ready forces and critical capabilities wherever needed, anywhere around the world. But the nature of the threat is changing and the Army Reserve is again rising to meet it, forging the most capable, combat-ready and lethal Reserve the Nation has ever known.
