Jussie Smollett Case: Grand Jury Returns 16 Counts Against ‘Empire’ Actor

CHICAGO (CBS) — Jussie Smollett is now facing deeper legal troubles after a grand jury returned 16 federal counts against the actor for falsely reporting a hate crime attack against him in January.
The grand jury returned the disorderly conduct indictment on Thursday.
“Jussie Smollett knew that at the time … there was no reasonable ground for believing that such offenses had been committed,†according to the indictment.

Or perhaps no more than 3-4 months in jail, maximum.

"Wait, wait....you said you went out to get a sandwich in below zero weather you could have ordered from your hotel?.... uh,huh..... you mean they knew you were a homosexual actor on a tv show despite you being bundled up? .....you mean you fought them off while holding a sandwich in one hand and your cellphone in the other while talking to your manager?.....they were wearing what?....they were carrying a noose and bleach waiting around in subzero weather for you to show up?.....they said what?....this is MAGA country?....in the heart of Chicago? ....you've got to be sh*tting me....get out of here.....oh, all right, I'll file your report.."

That's a real nice theory, but let's face facts. Thee have been hundreds of these fake crime hoaxes and a good number have been caught. There are websites devoted to this, but it doesn't deter them. It is like Socialism. They have the idea that they are the ones "that will do it right" and everyone will love them and support them for it.
