NBC Unwilling to Admit Trump’s Hardball Negotiation Tactic Against Mexico Worked

After putting pressure on Mexico with threats of escalating tariffs, President Trump’s hardball negotiation tactics finally got them to cave and take action to stem the flow of migrants looking to break into the U.S. It was a victory for the President the liberal media was forced to concede, much to their chagrin. But during Sunday Today, NBC News tried to downplay the win my suggesting Trump only achieved results that were already coming.
NBC White House correspondent Mike Viqueira began his report by elevating critics and pooh-poohing the win. “But a look at the details reveals that the agreement is an expansion of deals already made with Mexico and critics are calling it little more than a fig leaf,†he chided.

Unless the border fairy grants Mexico more adequate and effective barriers at their borders and also grants them a stellar and dynamic military at the border who can't be bribed, this is nothing more than Trump telling his supporters that he has made some grand and glorious bargain; when in reality Mexico is keeping those waiting for asylum on the other side. Nothing in the works to curtail migration into Mexico to get here which is the problem in the first place. 100,000+ just last month and those are the ones that didn't get through!

That is my stance exactly.

This kind of "solution" -- a piece of paper, really -- may work a little for a while.
But ultimately, it will fail and be forgotten.
A wall -- a silent, passive, immovable barrier -- will work and keep on working.
Ask the people of East Berlin how well that wall worked (while it was standing).
Ask Israelis how THEIR border barriers work.
Or... the Hungarians.
Where effective barriers were put up, the crossings.... STOPPED.
That's the ONLY solution that will EVER work here for the long term.

Getting really weary of, as a taxpayer, being pissed on and told that it's raining.
