Another Hollywood celebrity launched a vulgar tirade at the Trump family — this time it was comedian Wanda Sykes attacking Ivanka Trump for applauding her father’s reversal of separating illegal immigrant families at the border.
“BITCH PLEASE!†Ms. Sykesreplied to the first daughter on Twitter.
Ms. Trump had thanked the president for signing an executive order temporarily ending family separation at the border and called on Congress to come up with a permanent fix.

She only has one 'character' as they say. And it is the same role that made Whoopie Goldberg famous. These were always the one out, smartalec, streetwise, wise cracking, strong Black woman, who has to guide the stupid, oblivious, lost White girls as to what life is all about. It is a tired role these days that doesn't play very well anymore. You only had one job! Unfortunately that job is gone now.
Eddie Murphy was the Black male version of this same idea. The smartass, street cool, Black dude, who has to show those stupid White boys what it is all about. But at least his stand-up was more or less good.
With both Whoopie and Sykes, their stand-up routine has degenerated into vile, vulgar, vitriol, aimed at America and White people in general. It is more mean and hateful than it is anything close to being 'funny'.

Morning is for the garden; yes the only thing I seem to be successful at growing are carnivorous plants, which I think is very appropriate for me. And late afternoon/evening is for playing outside with my son and dogs, which usually equates to pool or water hose.

We hung out there and swam in the creek on the blazing days. Today, it was fish in the early morning, nap, and I'll fish another spot later. The ticks have been bad this year, though. I've gone through a lot of Cutter.

Summer does suck. It's 100* here with a feels like of 116*. Why would I want to spend much time out in that. Morning is for the garden; yes the only thing I seem to be successful at growing are carnivorous plants, which I think is very appropriate for me. And late afternoon/evening is for playing outside with my son and dogs, which usually equates to pool or water hose.

Gawd. We’re not quite that hot, but it’s damn bad enough. Let’s see....the humidity is so bad that the car windows fog up the minute you pull out of the garage. You break a sweat almost as fast. Bugs droning all over the place, a tick epidemic that can give you everything from Lyme to a meat allergy (!!!), storms spawning tornadoes (had to run to the basement two days ago).... so, yeah. It would be nice to live someplace where summer can be romanticized, like upper Canada. For me, until fall, I don’t need “fresh†(steamy, suffocating) air. I have the freshest air of all—-A/C.

I always liked it, even growing up in the brutally humid Mid-Atlantic. We always had good stuff in the garden. My friend had an old spring house on their property. We hung out there and swam in the creek on the blazing days. Today, it was fish in the early morning, nap, and I'll fish another spot later. The ticks have been bad this year, though. I've gone through a lot of Cutter.

I pulled a tick off my son a few weeks ago. Pulled a couple off the dogs a few weeks ago. I treated the dogs with a repellent, and we treated 2 acres of the yard that we're all normally in so hopefully that takes care of them for the summer.
Several years ago I was at a training seminar with one of the dogs and looked down and had dozens of ticks crawling up me. Luckily I noticed before any of them could bite me and sprayed myself liberally with Off.

I use essential oils when it's just mosquitoes, but they have their limits; noseeums for example. I don't trust them with ticks.

Dogs are happiest when they can roll in duck and goose crap and eat horse crap.
It won't help with the goose crap, but check out Bravecto pills. You give them once every 3 months and they cover fleas and ticks. Incidentally, it may be the geese she's picking up ticks from.

The ticks are my fault. I try to find the out of the way spots where there's less fishing pressure. That usually involves prime tick real estate - thick woods, high grass, and deer paths. It's worth the hassle when you get a 7 lb bass to strike a surface lure.

NOT gonna do it. That's how dogs mask their own smell so they can sneak up on prey. It's instinctive at the "blink an eye" level.

Giardia is awful. I have a cat that had it, before it was over we had to treat the whole herd of cats, and scrub our hands vigorously after touching them. That one cat has always been on the sickly side.

The ticks aren't really the problem, it's the parasites inside of them that are bad. Those parasites go right through the chickens and geese ("like shit trough a goose"), and end up in the droppings.

From what I've read it's the baby ticks that like to hitch a ride on geese, once they mature a bit they drop off and look for a larger mammal.
I've also read that chicken get salmonella from eating diseased flies. Like you say, the salmonella runs right through the chicken, doesn't really effect them, but it gets passed on through the eggs and poop.

If only there was a way to get rid of the fire ants. We don't have them as bad y'all I don't think. Amdro just makes them pack up and move 3 feet over from where they were before.

PS Ticks will eat other ticks also. I had a buddy that was a surveyor for a while. They had one job that was particularly bad with ticks so he brought in a little bottle with the idea he was going to count how many ticks he picked off himself at the end of the day. At the end of the day there was only 1 tick left in the bottle.

We also have leaf-cutter ants. They will denude big trees within days. I had a bad infestation in the back yard, and a big rain exposed a hive of about 10 feet deep and about 12 foot perimeter. It looked like a sinkhole at first. They can have hives going down 20 feet or so. Industrious little critters.

There are other parasites that follow that route to infection. Beef gets contaminated that way, being a higher mammal. A carrion eating bird will eat from a carcass, the organism will pass through, the droppings fall on a pasture, then eaten in turn by a cow/steer.

Normally Boy Scout Fluid is my goto when it comes to rooting out vermin and all sorts of infestations. But fire ants Mounds...the biguns like in Texas can be problematic. I have found that digging a trench around the mound and filling it with gas is an effective way to get the little buggers when they try to escape. The second best way is to have a flame thrower or napalm the whole LZ

She is a black comedian that got her start on some sitcom whose title I have forgotten. Her "turf" was sarcastic humor,and she was pretty good at it,too.
Then she decided to come out as a militant lesbian,and now that is about all she is known for. I guess she hits the comedy clubs,but the only times I have seen her on tv since the sit-com ended and she "came out" was when she was shrilly screaming about something political.
Evidently,she is also a black racist because she never once complained about anything Bathhouse Barry said,did,or even implied.
