Title: Leaked ‘war room’ notes: 6 people enrolled in Obamacare on first day

The Obamacare website has been up for a month, and while the Obama administration has refused to release figures on the actual number of people signing up for the program, leaked information contradicts the rosy picture the White House is painting.

Detailed information included in notes from “war room” meetings held twice daily by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid show a very slow start in enrollment, according to CBS News.

While the administration claims the site received 4.7 million unique visitors on Oct. 1, the first day it was available, the notes reveal only six people actually enrolled.

The health care exchanges will need an average of 39,000 people enrolling per day to meet the administration’s goal to sign up 7 million by March 1. The meeting notes mentioned three major problems, according to CBS:
◦“Direct enrollment (signing up directly on an insurer’s website) is not working for any issuers.”
◦“Experian” credit reporting agency is “creating confusion with credit check information.”
◦“Issuer phone numbers are not appearing correctly on the Pay Now page.”

Officials with the Department of Health and Human Services would not confirm or deny any information when asked by CBS on Thursday.

yah...they knew they had "19 million unique visitors" but could not tell how many enrolled....

Anyone who has moderated a website knows all about how to get daily website statistics, and they also know most of those "unique visitors" were search engines whose length of time at the site was less than 10 seconds.  Nobody believes that HHS doesn't know exactly how many people were signing up day by day.

For reference, for HHS to meet their stated goal of signing up 7 Million people, they need about 39,000 people a day to sign up between October 1 and the close of open enrollment.  Any day they get less than 39,000 signups only adds to the daily total daily signups needed further down the line.

This isn't even math.  It is basic arithmetic.

We can all agree that Obamacare sucks. But why did they hire a company like Microsoft or any Silicon Valley company to do the job? they could have done a much better job than this CGI Federal company. They probably went to the lowest bidder or one of Obama's cronies chose this company.

I knew it. Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco would have done a much better an  thorough job than CGI Federal. In fact, they would have been done at least 2 years in advance and found any "bugs" in the system. I think that Congress should look into any crimes or finding a way of getting back the money the taxpayers spent on this debacle. Heads should roll at CGI Federal. There is a scandal here.
