GOPe fears Ted Cruz and Rand Paul more than they fear OPapaDoc. GOPe has more in common with OPapaDoc than it does with Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. GOPe has no interest in killing OPapaCare because it represents another big government program that can be managed and used as a vehicle for collecting money from all the special interests that will be regulated by it. That is the simple, unvarnished truth.

The money starts flowing in, as conservative activists start manning the phone banks and knocking on doors on her behalf. And she wins. Woo-hoo.
And those that truly oppose such corruption and misuse of government power are not lauded so much as attacked for being "zealots" and "radicals".
Yep. They have racked up $17 trillion in debt, they print new money at the rate of $85 billion a month, and WE are the ones who are "zealots" and "radicals" for wanting to stop them.
Politics is the art of persuasion, not jam-down.
As long as the discussion is about the pure and noble "us" versus the despicable and evil "them," nothing will be accomplished.
No, politics is our time has become the art of convincing a hotel rape victim that they actually had a great time, and then sending them the bill for the room.
When you're getting screwed, the gentle arts of persuasion generally tend to fall somewhat short. Especially when the people you thought were your friends are helping to hold you down.
You make my point for me.

If by "them" you mean Harry Reid, OPapaDoc and socialists in general, well, they ARE evil. Aren't they?
Or do you think only Ted Cruz evil? I can't remember the last time you spent any ink criticizing the left. You seem to save all your vitriol for our side.
You have a very short memory. I've been all over the disastrous roll-out of Obamacare, something which would be getting more negative press had the zealots not sucked all the air out of the room with this disastrous shutdown.
Maybe you're spending all your time prowling threads on the lookout for anyone who takes issue with Ted Cruz.

Some of these GOPers seem to be having way more fun picking on @SenTedCruz's defund strategy than they ever had picking on Obama's policies.

Here are your last ten posts. How far back do I have to go to find something that criticizes the left?
Since you have no defense of Ted Cruz, Victor, you attempt to make ME the issue.
Why did Ted Cruz shutdown all of his offices and refuses to take constituent calls?

Oh, and good to see that Ted Cruz came out of hiding to greet the veterans!!
Yes. He quietly greeted a plane load of Texas Veterans yesterday morning when they arrived in Washington.
You make my point for me.
You don't unite behind a guy who's seeking an impossible goal, has no strategy to achieve it, and who characterizes anyone who opposes him as a Nazi enabler.
This is the same guy who has now shutdown his offices and sends all constituent calls to voicemail.
Cruz and Jordan could have had spending at current sequestration levels on September 30. Instead, Cruz insisted on defunding Obamacare, something he knew he couldn't do.
Now, the risk is that sequestration will be lost, the only thing the GOP has been able to manage in terms of reducing real spending in the last two years.

Ted Cruz has decided to close every one of his offices.
Advocates for killing Obamacare seem to forget that it can't be done from one-half of the Legislative Branch. It was a fools errand to think Obama or the Democrats would defund their prime achievement. Now, the spending caps from the sequester are in play, thus making this whole thing a net negative.
The Republicans allowed themselves to be driven by a couple of zealots who had no end game, much less a strategy to reach it.
If you ever bothered to read anything you would have read they are furloughed thanks to the shutdown.
So how come so many of Cruz's staff is furloughed? Cornyn's got the same constraints.
Your boy doesn't want to take phone calls. Face it.
SCORE: Your obsession is stunning. Anti-Cruz 10 Anti-Left 0
