@AllThatJazzZ   Fair question.  Let me try and explain it this way ----

Eastern European Jews didn't fight back in the 1930's/early 1940's because they had nothing to fight back with ---- no global voice, no leadership, no weapons.  Only once did they fight back, and that was during the rebellion in a Nazi open air prison.

Jews rectifying this 1938 disadvantage and gaining a voice, leadership and weapons were the essential goals of the original invocation of "never again".  The Jewish people have achieved all of this; but how best to use the success to secure peace, security and prosperity in 2024 and beyond remains elusive.  Harkening back to 1938 Germany is counterproductive ---- simply an emotional shield against questions few want to hear, nevermind answer.

I think it's time for an honest, difficult discussion.

@Right_in_Virginia

Seriously, what difference does it make? What is it you're bugged about?

It seems like you're not understanding the spiritual warfare that's taking place regarding Israel. The hatred and pursuit of the Jews will be unending until the Messiah – Whom, sadly, they didn't recognize in His first appearance – returns to complete their ultimate rescue. They will be viscerally and satanically despised until then. But not by me and millions of other Christians.

I don't see the point in Vacating the Chair, to be honest.  We're not gonna get better because the GOP in Congress only wants deep state leadership.

They want the leadership they elected, which is why they elected them in the first place.  And it's why none of this made any strategic sense at all.

After next in a line of GOP defeats this fall, the GOP is going to have to do some soul searching and debating on what kind of party it wants to be.

It's not really "the party" that has to decide that, but rather those of us who vote GOP.   Our tens of millions of individual thoughts, motives, strategies, etc..  I think the idea that "the party" gets steered independently of that is mistaken.   But for some reason, we keep blaming the people we elect.

Don't kid yourself.  Mitch knows just what he wants.  And so does the rest of the backestablisment

What we have to ask ourselves is what it's going to take to get what we want.

We know.

When was the last time you heard Mitch cite the 10th ?

Pelosi: Trump Is ‘Palsy-Walsy’ with Putin

Pam Key 17 Apr 2024

Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that former President Donald Trump was “palsy-walsy” with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Pelosi said, “What’s at stake is our democracy. I want to thank you for the attention that you have paid to Ukraine. It is all the things that are going, whether in a Manhattan courtroom or in Gaza and the rest, so important there. The attention to Ukraine has been diminished in my view in the press and our country. Nothing less is at stake than our democracy.”

She added, “It’s a tragedy that it has taken this long. I’m so glad, I won’t say glad, at long last, it has happened. The Ukrainians have been remarkable. The countries surrounding it have been taking in refugees, supplying humanitarian assistance and the rest. Those were members of NATO. They know they could be threatened should Putin prevail. Those who are not members of NATO are scared. They made it clear to us that they have propaganda in their own country coming from Russia as well.”

Mitchell said, “I was saying to Chuck Todd a few moments ago that one of the things Donald Trump just said on Friday, I believe, was that no money should go for Ukraine until Europe does something. Europe did $54 billion when this legislation was sitting in the Senate and in the House. Europe did $54 billion. They don’t have the weapons, the air defenses and the ammunition that Zelensky and Ukraine need.”

Pelosi said, “That’s indicative of how irresponsible he has been on this because he is palsy-walsy with Putin for some reason. For him to say that shows his lack of knowledge, his lack of values and quite frankly, his lack of commitment to democracy.”

Since when was Ukraine committed to democracy ?

Yup...and I remember '68.
Me too.
I think this will top that, and Mrs. O'Leary's cow isn't around to blame this time.

There would have been no final solution if beginning in 1938 Eastern European Jews had had the apparatus to fight and leave.

There would have been no Final Solution without inherent hatred of the Jewish people.

Can we explore why?

See above.
