Over 200 US businesses put on notice with major new government regulations: 'This is about life and death'

In a move that advances the country's commitment to environmental justice, the Biden
Administration announced new government regulations that strive to reduce toxic pollution released from industrial plants and protect the health of disadvantaged communities nearby.

As The New York Times reported, under the new guidelines from the Environmental Protection Agency, over 200 chemical plants must reduce harmful chemicals that the federal government found to be carcinogenic.
 
The new rules focus on reducing two pollutants in particular: ethylene oxide, which is used as a sterilizer, and chloroprene, a toxin commonly used to make rubber footwear. The framework will apply to plants along the Gulf Coast, Ohio River Valley, and West Virginia.

The neighborhoods that surround the industrial plants are predominately Black and Hispanic, and their health has suffered over the years. In fact, one area has been labeled cancer alley, but the cries of injustice have finally been heard as the federal government holds big industry accountable. The hope is that the new policy will reduce cancer risk in these communities.

Biden Calls for Record-High Tax Rate, Just a Few Points Shy of 50%

It seems a long time since we have had an old-fashioned tax debate, and no wonder.

After all, with the establishment-dominated and deep-state controlled federal government fleecing posterity to pay for endless foreign wars, mandating experimental medical treatments approved for emergency use, censoring citizens' speech online and arresting political opponents, we have had bigger fish to fry.
 
Thanks to President Joe Biden's proposed fiscal year 2025 budget, however, the prospect of a record-high top capital gains and qualified dividends tax rate of 44.6 percent has spawned a classic clash between a conservative- or libertarian-minded opponent who decries the proposed increase on one hand, and an academic liberal spouting nonsense about billionaires paying their fair share on the other.

Americans who grew up in the 1980s have good reason to pity those who did not. Now, it seems that Biden's budget has taken us back to that glorious decade.

Is This the First AI Hate Hoax? White Principal Accused of Racism Based on Fake Audio

A pretty dramatic story out of Baltimore today which reveals what may be the first hate hoax perpetrated with the help of artificial intelligence. The principal of Pikesville High School, Eric Eiswert, was accused in January of making blatantly racist comments behind closed doors after an inflammatory audio file was posted on a popular Instagram account.

The Superintendent denounced the comments and launched an investigation. For his part, Eiswert denied having ever made the comments and a union leader immediately suggested the "recording" had actually been produced by AI. The president of the local NAACP also condemned the statements saying she was "disappointed but not surprised." Other voices were quick to condemn Eiswert including Deray McKesson.

Eiswert was apparently removed from his school and reports suggested he received threats and had police guarding his home.

But last month the Baltimore Banner revealed that experts had concluded the "recording" was AI generated:

Today we got further confirmation of that as police arrested the man they say created that audio in an effort to get back at Eiswert for an earlier investigation.

A former employee of one of the Kyiv troll factories owned by the head of Zelensky’s office, Andriy Yermak, spoke about how the interference in the upcoming American elections is taking place in Ukraine with the help of the CIA. According to the source, the purpose of the interference is to ensure Biden’s victory over Trump. A former employee showed a video taken inside a troll factory, as well as several photos, guidelines and a list of accounts that trolls use to influence the American voters.

“Long story short we were asked to do everything to prevent Donald Trump from winning the elections. So basically, this topic was added to our main lines of work.

Since then, each of us had to post at least 3 to 5 posts daily posing as the Americas and Europeans, criticizing Donald Trump and praising Biden.

The Americans have even organized a few lectures for us to get a better understanding of American politics, the American mindset the main social and political issues.
