Let’s look at the details of Warren’s plan and how they differ from two proposals introduced in Congress, the Social Security 2100 Act, introduced by Rep. John B. Larson (D-Conn.), and the Social Security Expansion Act, filed by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who is one of Warren’s rivals for the presidential nomination, and Rep. Peter A. DeFazio (D-Ore).
On the benefit side, Warren’s plan is the most generous of the three. She’d increase benefits by $200 a month across the board.
Warren’s plan would also restore the student benefit for full-time students 19 or older, a provision that was repealed in 1981, leaving benefits only for students in K-12 school up to the age of 18.

We've got to keep up with this news. I know some of you are already receiving benefits, I'd like to get mine too when I become of age

If you want to keep up with news like this, Warren also has a bridge in Brooklyn that she would like to sell you that's sitting in a used car lot.
The reality is that you cannot continue to raise taxes on the working class in order to support those who don't work, illegals, those in prison, those on welfare, free healthcare for everyone and raise minimum wage like she is suggesting and expect those people to be able to sustain those programs. What are they going to have to live on? Job creation, cutting taxes and expanding the wealth of individuals is what will continue to sustain this country.
Hint #1: she is lying to you Hint #2: Socialism doesn't work, hasn't worked in the past and won't work in the future.

Who's gonna pay for the changes?
And as for the "trust fund"...it's non existent. Has been since the Clinton years when he raided it to "balance" the budget.

What she says to try and get elected and what she does are two different things.
Standard issue. She will likely be the Dem Candidate, despite the whole fake indian thing (which the press will minimize and give her a pass on, after all it was a mistake, right?) Butboy will likely be her running mate to pull in some Midwest on the ticket (even though I'd say he is no typical Midwesterner), and pull in the alphabet people, too. She's the new Hillary, and I don't think Cankles is really up for the rematch.

Do you really believe what she is saying or is this just another troll attempt? @OfTheCross

No surprise Warren loves SS - where else do you have built-in triple taxation of your earnings? The payroll tax comes off the top, but then you still get to pay federal and maybe state income tax on that "income" you never actually got, then pay income tax on it again when they start giving some of it back to you. It's a socialist trifecta.

That seems to be the plan, doesn't it?

With this plan and her other proposals, Warren will successfully confiscate everything from those who make a good living or own a small business. She probably never learned that if you tax something, you get less of it. But then she has no real world experience.

Leftists seem to me to be an aberration in the development of the species Homo sapiens. What’s wrong with these people? They make no practical sense. They are filled with social theories and utopian ideas of the worst sort.

@aligncare
Leftists are adults who haven’t lost their child like view of the world. Elizabeth Warren not only has a simplistic, childlike view of how things work, she has no real world experience to fall back on. That’s why all her proposals are crazy and unrealistic to the rest of us. But in her world, they work.

Or, she knows none of her proposals are really going to come to fruition but she’s entertaining a base

When I hear people like Warren make these grand promises, it reminds me of that skit on Eddie Murphy’s “Raw†were he imitates an Italian guy at the movie theater who orders all kinds of things from the concession stand and then says the black guy next to him is going to pay for it all

Elizabeth Warren offers a Social Security reform plan that checks a lot of boxes
Is there an 'Opt Out' box?
-
Is there an 'Opt Out' box?
Yes. The 'opt out' box is President Donald J. Trump.
