Schumer to Urge Trump to Reallocate $5 Billion In Border-Wall Money to Fight Gun Violence, White Supremacy

Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer is expected to formally petition President Trump to withdraw his request for $5 billion in border-wall funding and redirect the funds to combat “the dual scourges of gun violence and violent white supremacist extremism.â€
Schumer will ask that Trump reallocate the border-wall funds funds, which he appropriated without congressional consent by declaring a national emergency, to programs such as the Department of Homeland Security counter-violent extremism programs, FBI domestic terrorism investigations and Center for Disease Control gun violence research, Politico reported Monday.
“The dual scourges of gun violence and violent white supremacist extremism in this country are a national security threat plain and simple, and it’s time the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress starting treating them as such,†Schumer said in a statement provided to Politico. “Now Republicans and this administration need to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to addressing gun violence and stopping the rise of domestic terrorism, especially stemming from white supremacy. Democrats are prepared to work in a bipartisan fashion to respond to Director Wray’s clarion call on a briefing call with Senate Democrats last week for additional resources to address this national security crisis on our own soil.â€

Trump should counter with:
No, but I will support you if you want to add $5 Billion to the budget to fight gun violence everywhere -- including in the inner cities -- and to combat any extremism including Antifa that advocates for the suppression of/interference with the rights of other citizens to peaceably assemble.
We can fund it with the money we save by denying federal welfare benefits to immigrants who are supposed to be here actually working.

Trump finally has some $$ for a border wall and because Chuck the Schmuck doesn't want him to succeed he'll try to use this request as an example of how the President is not doing enough to protect this country from mass shooters. Chuck how about all those American citizens who have died at the hands of illegals? Where was your concern of protecting citizens then?

As an aside, I do like what Chuckie believes in not spending more money on anythng but reallocating it.
If we could get that philosophy ingrained within our Congress, we have at least a small chance of beginning to reign in out-of-control spending.

And that's how I know Chuck U Shumer is just running a cynical ploy. Whenever a Rat complains about cost of something I know there's an exceptional level of deception afoot. It's their "tell."
