House votes in favor of illegal immigrant voting

House Democrats voted Friday to defend localities that allow illegal immigrants to vote in their elections, turning back a GOP attempt to discourage the practice.
The vote marks a stunning reversal from just six months ago, when the chamber — then under GOP control — voted to decry illegal immigrant voting.
“We are prepared to open up the political process and let all of the people come in,†Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat and hero of the civil rights movement, told colleagues as he led opposition to the GOP measure.
The 228-197 vote came as part of a broader debate on Democrats’ major legislative priority this year, HR 1, the “For the People Act,†which includes historic expansions of voter registration and access, as well as a major rewrite of campaign finance laws.

They aren't.
The business lobby figures they can take advantage of the abundance of cheap labor and get the govt to give them protected status, as long as they contribute to the right campaigns.
Trump is the one fighting this, almost by himself.

I always hear about that cheap labor express... so what does it mean?
Construction? Restaurant and Hotels? Slaughterhouses, yes, a lot of them do seem involved in this last aspect.

I see it in real estate all the time. It's a combination of factors. Some jobs are just hard grunt work and you can't find a lot of citizens willing to do them. Also, the better paying more technical jobs (carpenter, plumber, electrician, welder, etc.) we don't train people for in meaningful numbers because going to college and being in college is big business.
Sub-contractors will hire the illegals and the general contractor will pay the sub a lump sum. The sub will pay the illegals less than would normally be paid and then use the excess to pay the taxes on his profit. It's never going to be stopped by e-verify because the sub is not hiring employees.

The extremist liberals are easy to spot these day. Their views are so extreme they are in opposition of world politics. For instance the people in Venezuela are starving. 100's of thousands of protesters come out against Maduro. Even members of its army are seeking Asylum in the U.S. So the world supports an interim President. U.K., France, Germany...etc. But not Russia. But these liberals are screaming bloody murder. They want the people to starve under a failed Socialist Dictatorship. Then they talk about how all the immigrants are coming because of American failed policy in Latin America.
