Joe Biden demands to see Trump's tax returns: 'Even Nixon released his taxes'

Joe Biden wants to know what President Trump is hiding by refusing to disclose his tax returns.
"Even Nixon released his taxes," Biden said in New Hampshire on Wednesday, referring to former President Richard Nixon who resigned after the Watergate scandal. "Where are his taxes? What's he hiding? What's he afraid of? What's buried in those returns? Why can't he release them?"
Trump, who didn't make his tax returns public during the 2016 campaign, claiming they were under a routine audit, has clashed with House Democrats over the documents.
The Treasury Department's inspector general is investigating the Trump administration's handling of a congressional request for six years of the president's tax returns. In a federal court lawsuit filed by House Democrats, Democrats flagged a whistleblower complaint lodged by a career Internal Revenue Service official over the summer alleging Treasury Department political appointees tried to interfere in the audit process.

I hate to break it to Joe, but.... since he's running for president, he needs to release all of his taxes. Especially the ones from his time as VP.

He released a couple of returns when he was running with Barack. As I recall, the last one featured charity totaling $50 of used socks to Goodwill Industries.

Well, Trump may be preventing the Dems from attacking people with whom he does business, which they obviously would if they could. Or maybe Trump is preventing the Dems from beginning the fishing expedition they've been drooling to do for 4 years. Or maybe he simply want to preserve his right to privacy.
The thing about Constitutional and legal rights is that people who assert them owe no one an explanation why they are asserting their rights.
