There have been concerns about potential ties to the Chinese Communist Party and the movement of fentanyl
The number of Chinese nationals crossing the US-Mexico border has increased by more than 6,000 per cent.

Chinese nationals entering the United States illegally and stopped by Border Patrol so far this fiscal year has already exceeded 24,000.

According to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data, in the first six months of fiscal year 2024, which began in October, Border Patrol had caught 24,296 Chinese nationals crossing illegally between ports of entry. That exceeds the 24,125 caught in all of fiscal year 2023.

For comparison, in fiscal 2022, there were just 1,987 apprehensions, and in fiscal 2021 there were just 342. However, that only includes those those entering illegally between ports of entry. Including ports of entry, there have been 41,970 encounters, compared to 52,700 in fiscal 2023.

PETER MURPHY: If you like your appliances, you can't keep them, according to Joe Biden
by: Peter Murphy 04/22/2024

In the name of supposed efficiency and saving the planet from the fatuous prediction of a 1.5 degree average temperature increase in the next 26 years (give or take), the Biden administration has from its beginning declared war on Americans’ household appliances. As with so many other policies in the administration’s global warming arsenal, mandating invariably higher-cost household items is another dagger at Americans’ family budgets.

Last month, the U.S. Department of Energy released final “energy efficiency” requirements for residential washers and dryers that it claims will save consumers $39 billion in the next 30 years and reduce 71 metro tons of “harmful carbon emissions” over the same period, opined Energy Secretary, Jennifer Granholm. More fantastical than these numbers is her assertion that American households will reap $1 trillion (!) from forcing Americans to scrap all the household appliances in the administration’s crosshairs.

This is the same Secretary Granholm who lied to Congress about holding stocks in companies over which she has federal jurisdiction, and failed to disclose such holdings – yet kept her job. But I digress.

Bidenomics ? ‘Green Jobs’ Vanish As New York’s Offshore Wind Debacle Killed
by Amy Furr  3 hours ago

People hoping to find work assembling offshore wind turbine engines and blades at the Port of Coeymans in New York are out of luck. [emphasis, links added]

State and corporate executives previously said there may have been around 870 high-paying jobs at the site, the Times Union reported Monday.

The work would have involved assembling the engines and blades built by GE Vernova and LM Wind Power.

However, the Union report said both of the offshore wind farms wanting to utilize the area for the work scrapped those plans, and the jobs disappeared with that decision.

Biden Gives Big Wind Preferential Offshore Leasing After Issuing Restrictive Oil And Gas Plan
by Nick Pope  9 hours ago in Green Energy, News Reading Time: 2 mins read

The Biden administration unveiled a plan Wednesday to hold up to a dozen offshore wind leases over the next several years as the industry struggles to cement itself in the U.S. [emphasis, links added]

The Department of the Interior (DOI) announced its five-year schedule for offshore wind leasing, which envisions lease sales for plots in the Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico, and waters off of American territories.

The agency expects to offer four sales in 2024, one each in 2025 and 2026, two in 2027, and four in 2028.

The offshore wind industry is struggling in the U.S., with developers up and down the East Coast backing out of contracts or requesting further assistance from the government as inflation, high borrowing costs, supply chain backups, and logistical snags have taken their toll on projects.

Wisconsin Utility Proposes Third Rate Hike in Three Years for Renewables

Linnea Lueken
April 18, 2024

Utility company We Energies is proposing a its third rate-hike in as many years for its Wisconsin customers, citing the costs from shutting down fossil fuel plants and the integration of renewables.

The company filed proposed rates for review by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW), which will set the rates for electricity, as well as natural gas and steam service, for the years 2025 and 2026.

We Energies cites three major reasons for their proposed hike in their press release, “reducing customer outages, building infrastructure needed to support jobs and economic growth in Wisconsin, and meeting new EPA environmental rules.”

Nutritive Value of Plants Growing in Enhanced CO2 Concentrations (eCO2)

We are pleased to announce the publication of our latest research report Nutritive Value of Plants Growing in Enhanced CO2 Concentrations (eCO2).

Despite many years of claims that increasing concentrations of CO2 are an “existential threat” to life on Earth, one cannot identify any harm that has been done. In fact, the only clear result of increasing CO2 has been an overall greening of the Earth and increasing productivity of agricultural and forest crops.

The evidence for greening of the Earth from eCO2 is now too obvious to deny. In recent years, some researchers have claimed that that nutritional values are negatively affected by elevated CO2 concentrations. Media promoters of climate alarmism have seized on these results to further demonize CO2.

In this paper we explain why the nutritional value of our more abundant crops can and will remain high as atmospheric CO2 concentrations increase toward values more representative of those existing throughout most of Earth’s history.

While this is a somewhat technical report, it is a valuable tool for you to put in your quiver to use the next time you see increased CO2 being linked to declining nutrition.
