How come...regardless of what it is...you just know it's not going to be good.
Because this isn't about Michael Brown or Darren Wilson.
It's about agitation.
Can't have the rule of law interfering with the rule of want. :bullie smokin:
Stay safe my friends, and if you plan on doing any early Christmas shopping this week, or on Black Friday, do so over the web. I would not recommend being anywhere near a shopping mall for awhile, where you could be the subject of a revenge beating, or worse. Same precaution no matter what way the GJ goes.I plan to carry my concealed weapon wherever I can.

4 1/2 is an odd amount of time
The prosecutor's office has told Brown's relatives that the decision will be made public after 5 p.m., family attorney Benjamin Crump told The Associated Press.

Brown Family Attorney: We’ll ‘Explore Every Legal Avenue’ if No Indictment
How come...regardless of what it is...you just know it's not going to be good.
Nuts. Missouri is in the central time zone, so no idea what time the news stories are actually referring to.
Not hard to believe the confusion is intentional
FERGUSON DECISION PENDING; PRESS CONFERENCE 5:30PM
Like Oceander..I thiink this is central time...it will be dark then..lol
We shall see what happens..
There will be rioting, no matter what the decision. If it's an indictment, then there will be gloat rioting. If it's no true bill, then there will be protest rioting.
The agitators should be arrested..
Some probably will, but they are most likely professional anarchist cadres who are well-trained at getting other people arrested and avoiding arrest themselves.
Because they don't have freedom of peaceful assembly or freedom of speech?

(Last I heard, peaceful assembly and speech are legal in America, even by those we don't agree with.)
‘Why don’t you just pass out booze also?’ Ferguson prosecutor waiting until dark to announce decision
Like Al Shaprton..
Because they don't have freedom of peaceful assembly or freedom of speech?Key word there being peaceful, which in this case is questionable at best.
(Last I heard, peaceful assembly and speech are legal in America, even by those we don't agree with.)
Gov speaking now..basically saying nothing..even Fox broke away
Guess I can finally get that 80 inch TV I've been wanting.
I have to agree with the prior comments, letting this kat out of the bag at 8PM local time is pretty much the worst time of day to do this....
Might be waiting for everyone to get home and clear the streets before the savages run loose.

Grand jury decision on the Ferguson, Mo., shooting to be announced at 9 pm ET, prosecuting attorney's office says - statement
End of alert
Are they giving everyone time to get home and the jurors time to get out of town? :pondering:
I wonder how many of the stores there stopped ordering inventory weeks ago, and emptied out what they had in stock? These so called 'protesters' may very well break into stores only to find that they are bone dry empty.
What are you going to steal now? Punk! lol
Are they giving everyone time to get home and the jurors time to get out of town? :pondering:
My brother who lives on the Il side of St Louis says word on the street is that they will throw this officer under the bus.......remember this is just local rumor and gossip
If I had to guess, that is what I think will happen. With pressure from the rioters, Holder, Obama, Nixon, and the rest, the grand jury knows it has no choice but to charge with 1st degree murder to try and keep the damage to a minimum.
Yeah but, in doing that you draw the whole thing out for 6 more months. By then, most of the businesses will be closed. And very many people will have moved out.
Also, what about an 'innocent' verdict? Then we are right back to the beginning.
Pull the bandaid off quick and fast. Let's get this over now, while the getting is good. Drawing this out farther will only make everything worse. IMO
Going out on a limb and still say that Wilson will not be indicted.

Hmmm @CNN tweeted and quickly untweeted.
As a former St. Louisan - and former assistant under Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCullough, whom I respected - this grieves me greatly. I hate that there are death threats against my former boss, police officers and other innocent people who had nothing to do with the shooting. At this point, I just pray that there are no deaths or injuries and that sanity prevails. :0001:

Does anybody believe that the verdict makes any difference to the protesters/rioters? Will they disperse if Wilson is indicted?
Nope, riot coming regardless.Agreed. They're entitled.
Did the site go down for anyone else for a minute or two?Yep, slowed to a crawl.
Did the site go down for anyone else for a minute or two?
No probable cause to indict
Do the crowds know the verdict? If they do, they're awfully calm.....

Gentle Giant
CBS and ABC didn't cover Obama, but they're showing this live. NBC is not.(Note that CBS isn't showing it in New York State because of the Bills-Jets game, so their primetime lineup was already being preempted in a decent sized chunk of the country before this.)
Have they revealed the jury vote?
Katie Pavlich @KatiePavlich 51s51 seconds ago
No probable cause to file charges against officer Darren Wilson, he is exonerated. Justice is served.
They're not going to do that.
Give them a few more minutes.
Sorry.. not the names, but the tally?
I may be wrong, but I thought I heard a guest on Meghan Kelly say they didn't even reveal the numbers.
Somebody gotta splain it to them!

Crowd outside Ferguson police station are beginning to yell f**k the police, tensions are rising. Rants of "FTP" over and over again.
This decision IS justice.
The system still works despite all efforts to prevent it!

This decision may not be accepted by some, but evidence decides; political expediency and public outcry don't matter.

Daily Kos @dailykos 25s26 seconds ago
All of it is unbelievably incompetent at best, malfeasance at worst.
Did anyone there actually HEAR the evidence??
The grand jury part is over. But, of course, the larger story goes on endlessly about race relations in America.
150 years after emancipation proclamation and 50 years after segregation ended, we're still having to deal with this, this hypersensitivity about race. People aren't individuals – they're pigmentations. It pervades every aspect of life in America. I'm so tired of it. (Can't we all just get along? He asked, bitterly.)
Obama is going to make a statement at 10 est..

Sorry, I had to spell it out.

Daryl Parks, attorney for Brown family: "This is not a time to go through evidence." Yes, that's sort of the problem, isn't it?
My advise for Officer Wilson, is flee this country.. Go to Mexico or someplace in where we don't have an extradition treaty..

CNN just cut away from a reporter saying many people have left. Cut to another non-reporter, Chris Cuomo, blathering. Story dwindling fast.
For a riot, this one is pretty lame.
If I was going to loot, I would go to Best Buy.... Not Walgreens..
Probably isn't one there. Best Buy won't put a store in the ghetto.
Police in Ferguson retreating for some reason, letting the rioters do their thing.

Lots of gunfire on Fox. Fox reporters backing up.
Pretty frightening hearing that live on TV. Wonder how the shop owners are holding up, who said they would be armed?
Also attacked a Taco Bell and gas station.
Isn't that redundant?
What ever happened to the days of shooting looters and vandals?
Trying to interview a looter. She wouldn't speak, but was carrying a huge bottle of gin.
Once again, the people starting the riots and burning things down were NOT the peaceful protestors from Ferguson.
Be careful how you judge what's going on based on the media's need to have a story.
Another thought.
Our black guests reading some of the posts here might conclude, incorrectly, that we here are against blacks, that we are racists.
However, if those folks would just dig a little deeper and try to get past their own bitterness and preconceptions, they'll find that nothing could be further from the truth; that we are all of us here interested in the facts on-the-ground in this unfortunate situation.
The grand jury knew the facts, that Michael Brown was not a "gentle giant" and that the officer that shot him, Darren Wilson, was not a rogue racist cop. But, rather was a man who was brutally attacked while in the performance of his duty and in those terrible moments before he shot, feared for his life and did what anyone would have done, defended himself.
Once again, the people starting the riots and burning things down were NOT the peaceful protestors from Ferguson.
Be careful how you judge what's going on based on the media's need to have a story.
These outside agitators: do you not have sedition laws?
Thank you - an interesting read.

There are times when not having a constitution has it's advantages.
Greg Craven, formerly Dean and law professor at the University of Notre Dame Australia law school, once said that when you can get a constitution enacted you usually don't need it, and when you do need a constitution, you usually can't get it.
All in all, I'll stick with a written constitution -provided the landed gentry on this forum are willing to let me keep my vote.
Absolutely Right!
The "people" doing that are professional anarchist agitators! The same ones we saw with occupy Wall Street and every other such event.

The lack of response by LEO in Ferguson is disgraceful. The sub-humans are setting cop cars on fire again. Heads need to be cracked and punks arrested.
