2012 Today's Toons Favorites: Results

After starting with >13,000 possibilities, the 4th annual Best Of Today's Toons is over & all the votes have been tallied. Neither hanging nor pregnant chads were encountered & Diebold equipment was not used. First, a few stats. 18 of the 43 finalists received 1st-place votes. There were 22 valid entries received & thanks to all of you who took the time to vote!! Votes were cast, in order of preference, for between 1 & 10 of the finalists. Cartoonists Anthony Branco(7), Stilton Jarlsberg/Hope N Change(4), Michael Ramirez(4), Eric Allie(3) & Mike Lester(3) all had the multiple items in the finals. Wanted to publicly thank Oceander for creating the virtual trophies (like THIS) which will be sent to the top 10 finishers. The method of scoring was as follows: A 1st-place vote received 10 pts., a 2nd-place vote earned 9 pts., ..., down to a 10th-place vote which got 1 pt. And now, the results:

I'm confused by a recurrence - #9 seems to repeat at #21. Even with that there is lots of work, that is appreciated, represented here.

He won ugly, but a win is a win.  He still has trouble keeping that new swing under control on the weekends.  But I did see some evidence of the old Tiger for sure.
