Do You Trust This Man? SecDef Says US Lost Track of WMDs in Syria
« on: September 29, 2012, 12:13:02 am »

The U.S. has lost track of some of Syria’s chemical weapons, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Friday, and does not know if any potentially lethal chemicals have fallen into the hands of Syrian rebels or Iranian forces inside the country.

“There has been intelligence that there have been some moves that have taken place. Where exactly that’s taken place, we don’t know.” Panetta said, in a Pentagon press briefing.

Panetta said that the “main sites” in Syria storing chemical weapons with which the Pentagon is most concerned remain secured by the Syrian military. But there is “some intelligence” that “limited” movements of weapons from other sites have occurred, he said, “for the Syrians to better secure what they – the chemicals.”

Are these the same chemical weapons that they said Saddam Hussein did not have?  So now they are saying that they did exist all along?

No, more likely, these are Soviet chemical weapons that were given to Bashar al Assad's father, Hafez al Assad when he was dictator of Syria.  Hafez was a notorious Soviet puppet and they armed him with everything he wanted, as a balance against Israel and the US.

I really don't think they would admit this unless they thought the weapons would be used soon in an unexpected place?

I highly suspect an event like if not WWIII that was started because Obama armed terrorists with our money that will cause Obama to suspend the elections.

Any chemical/bio weapons that Saddam had came from the US and NATO.
I wonder when the lies will stop and truth begin, even as grim as the truth may be. And then I remember that for 70 years, the reign of terror in Russia called itself "the people's government." We have so far to fall, yet we are falling fast and Hell yawns to receive us.

The blackmarket on arms deals is nuts but not this directly nuts. Possibly indirectly, most likely from Russia.
